Gaming Pokémon Black/White 2 (E, U) AP Thread

Anyone understand a fix to White 2 freezing whenever I use the 'pokemon party' screen? Just goes black and freezes everytime I exit it, seems fine otherwise. :x

Hmm, my repels aren't working. Is this related to AP?

Repels repel wild pokemon that have a level lower than your lead, so make sure you're not running around a level-30 area with a level-5 lead, for example.

Used patched on YSmenu with Retrogamefans latest update with a R4i-sdhc/3DS it loads the game but freezes when trying to save, yet to try any battles. Doesn't go past the Intro when your name is asked when using a clean rom.

same issue with me. clean won't go pass asking for a name.

patched is fine, battles are fine, no lag or anything when running YSmenu. however after the first time you save every time you try and save it freezes hoping there's a fix for that soon.

Is there a working Pokesav (not Pokegen) for Black/White 2? When I used the v0.06c it erases my save and it was a .SAV file I got from my flashcart.

So is there any way to fix Patch Mode on SCDS2?

Clean mode has super slow loading times.

Tried the initial white release, unpatched on a SCDS2. Game ran fine, XP was gained, but it started freezing in really odd places, like getting an item ball or at the start of a battle (The battle animations were fine, but the touchscreen did not display the FIght button and the others were unresponsive).

This due to AP? Should I try running the patch, even though i'm using a DS2?

About to try running B2 Clean now. Hope it doesn't happen again

EDIT: NVM, I wan't actually running it in "clean" mode on the DS2. all working perfectly now. off I go 2 B A Master

Haven't seen it in this thread yet but CONFIRMED working on iEDGE v2.3 using the DS-Scene rom tool to patch the game. So far no problems.

Edit:- Works for both versions. Brohter is playing B2 and I'm on W2.

Anyone having problems when defeat rival in PWT (in DSTwo), follow these steps:

- Make a copy of the ROM and SAVE from your MicroSD;
- Load the ROM on DeSmuME, and then import the SAV and load it;
- Play until you win the tournament;
- Then save your progress in the game and export the SAVE, copy it right back to your MicroSD;
- Play normally the ROM and load your save;

This will temporarily solve the problem of crashes in the first PWT.
Still do not know if the PWT will crash again.

But apparently the problem is not in ROM but the DSTwo (I think).

Still having the same issue as before - for White2, on DSTWo, clean mode doesn't load up, it gives me a white screen. Patch mode works so far, only the GTS negotiations give me a BSOD when I go into the room (other wifi functions work just fine). Haven't gotten to the PWT to test the battle some people have reported getting freezes on. Several people have said Clean mode fixes the freezings, I just don't know how on earth to get it to load up in that mode in the first place.

I've had this for two days and I'm at the Elite Four...
I even loaded the Japanese Halloween C-Gear...

Oh... and being suspended is not fun...
I guess you can't even mention a hint about where to get the roms from...

I can confirm r4i gold 3ds with wood 1.52 is working 100% with ap patch

I have a r4i gold 3ds (r4ids.cn)on a 3DSXL with firmware 4.3.0-10U, and the game doesn't work.

Cart is showing Rafal Nadal Tennis, wood 1.52, and all I get is the red loading screen when launching the game (AP Patched).

I tried upgrading the r4i gold 3ds, with the patch in the OP, but my cart is a PCB 7, the update patch in the OP is only for 9 and up (A,B, or C).

So looks like I have to wait for r4ids.cn to update the firmware to play this game.

You may have to reformat your microSD card to get it to work. I'm in the exact same situation you're in and thats the only thing I haven't done. I would try this out right away but I don't have my micro SD reader with me and the only method I have to transfer data to it is through my phone and for some reason it takes forever just to do anything and I'm too impatient to try transferring all my files, formatting, and then transferring them all back (seriously it would probably take 12 hours)

Also your r4i-gold is an r4i-gold (non-3ds), not the r4i-gold 3ds. Also it has nothing to do with the patch of the r4i-gold because that just pertains to the getting the cart to work on the system, not the games.

I tried re-formatting, and actually even using a different MicroSD Card.

I was always using the patch method in the OP, but then saw some people mentioning using the DS Scene Rom tool, and once I used that to AP patch, the games have worked in desmume for me. Once I get home I will try it on my 3DS XL.

Oh and I do that the r4i-gold 3DS, not sure why you say it's not a 3DS? (It shows right on the front R4i Gold 3DS)

I looked into it more and you're right. Mine doesn't have the 3DS on it but it still supports the R4i Gold 3DS firmware. Anything revision 5 and above is 3DS anything below is not. The R4i-Gold 3DS is split into 6,7,8 and 9,A,B,C. So far we can't use them on the newest system update for the 3DS, sounds like they'll have an update done soon though.

I still haven't got the game to work on my r4i-gold. I did however get it to run in the desmume and on my older R4 with wood 1.52 and it work just fine. So i'm just playing it on that for now until I can reformat my SD card tomorrow. Let me know if you get it to work.

tried clean rom - didn't work

I already formatted and that didn't work

Only thing I can think of is there might be a problem with Wood 1.52 and R4i 3DS and non-3DS cards. Something like a compatibility issue.

I even tried Wood 1.51 and that didn't work with the patched or clean roms

So you're saying you've formated your SD card to FAT (16),
Tried the clean rom with and without the patching... (clean mode),
Self-Patched the clean for the AP and tried it with and without patching (clean mode...),
Tried downloading a pre-patched, with similar results,
all while using the latest firmware...

Ever thought about investing into a new card...
or...
Double check to see that you PROPERLY patched the game earlier...
