For a small portion of people in this forum who are interested, iPhone 5 is here and official.

Apple has sent out their invites to the event.

Apple on Tuesday sent out invites for an upcoming event happening in San Francisco on September 12, 2012. The invitation I received says the event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10:00 am.

Just "The (new) iPhone" simple and all the customer has to do is say that to get it.

In Singapore, our Apple store "geniuses" call the new iPad as iPad 3 to avoid confusion.

But since the 1st iPhone was discontinued long ago, I guess it would be safe to name it The new iPhone.

Still, I prefer numbers.

The original iPhone was called "iPhone 2g".

There was a 3GS wasn't there. They might be revisions but I think they still count to a degree. So 2G(first), 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S and soon 5.

I'm not guessing at all. I know for a concrete fact that it'll be called "The new iPhone."
