Seriously. anyone here watch soap operas? By "soap opera" I'm not just including daytime soaps like "days of Our Lives" but night time dramas like 90210 and Pro Wrestling. Just curious of the reaction here on this forum. BTW If you don watch soaps it's cool just don't be a pretentious snob about it. Everybody is entitled to have their likes and dislikes.

You know, not every male follows society created gender rules. I like to watch Days of our Lives and Wrestling. A good drama is always fun to watch. I actually got my wife into both shows over the past year. She's a little less fond of wrestling but gets as excited as me over a Pay Per View event.

I'd say it's pretty funny, yeah. Plus, the episodes are only 10-12 minutes long, so it isn't a huge time commitment or anything.

A good drama is always fun to watch.

Indeed it is- is this not why we have forums though?

As for soaps if I wanted to watch people awkwardly doing something that approximates a dayjob I would watch much more discovery channel stuff (they even have the same abysmal editing masquerading as a story thread). This said some of the lesser general shows are functionally quite similar to a typical soap so I am sure an argument could be made that I technically do watch something like a soap.

Closest to an actual soap....as a kid I did not mind The Bill but in retrospect that might have been because there were only four channels to choose from with the fourth not exactly being an old one.

I cant stand the over 30fps. I know thats a strange gripe, but it makes everything look buttery smooth and your (my) eye does not find that enjoyable to watch.
On top of that, i would never dream of watching a Soap, unless i suffer a strong blow to the head.
