Marvel vs. Capcom Origins Coming to PSN and XBLA

Capcom has announced the arrival of Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, a mash up of old school Marvel and Capcom fighters for the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

The game includes both Marvel Super Heroes as well as the original Marvel vs. Capcom. Both games will also include online play with eight player lobbies and spectating, as well as HD graphical upgrades, replay saving, and achievements.

No date other than September this year was given. The game, however, will set you back around $15, or 1200 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 users. The trailer can be seen above.

'New HD Graphics Mode' translates as looks like shit and all the characters hit boxes are fucking way off what and where they should be.

Want to play amazing CapCom fighters? Buy a Japanese Saturn and a 4MB RAM cart, it'll be one of the best investments you ever make.

is either one of those games the one, where the final boss is like that big red monster that oozes green slime or something? i dont know what vs game that was from actually, only that i played it on a dreamcast once

anyways, for 1200 points... and IF they dont take out half the chars to sell them later, this does sound nice. otherwise, no sale

So, I guess Capcom thinks that the people that were wanting the last 8 characters in Ultimate Marvel will be satisfied with this instead. As much as I loved playing these, I'm not about satisfied with this as I still own of the originals.

If it included Children of The Atom, and Xmen Vs Street Fighter I'd be interested.
Wish they would make a 4th Capcom Vs. SNK, but that would actually cost money and effort on Capcom's part seeing as they haven't drawn new sprites in over 10 years. With the release of KoF13 a few months back, SNK's roster is already taken care of for the most part. Just need to add in some Samurai Showdown and maybe a few characters from the last blade and your good.

So I watched the vid. The first thing that came to mind was M.U.G.E.N. A whole mess of different fighters in one game. Always fun for fighting game fans.

Being that it's being made by a professional programming team, it should at least have more balanced match-ups than most M.U.G.E.N fighters.

As for DLC.....the idea is only good when it's not abused. Unfortunately....
