Just that you guys know I havent stopped working on new emulators, here is a new one, wiimednafen mod1 :P
http://dl.dropbox.co...ednafen-mod1.7z
This emulator supports very much roms, just check their wiibrew site out ;) I only added a few rom types to the sample ini, you can add more of course, have fun :D

hey fix, in the mednafen.ini you need to add ".lnx|.ngp|.ngc|.pce|.vb|.ws|.wsc"

:)

okay have you tried mode 2 while in emuflow - it's mastershoes' snes/n64 version which rotates the cover from being on it's end to laying on it's side. open a theme.ini with wordpad or notepad++ and find [_EMUFLOW_1] and under that find center_angle=0, 0, 0 and change it to center_angle=0, 0, 90
I can't get on my wii and confirm this but it should work.
Okay, I looked through the INI files and it looks like the center_angle setting in all of them under [_EMUFLOW_2] is already set at 0, 0, 90 so it should work. I'm not actually near my Wii at the moment either, though.

Just a heads up and I'm sure it doesn't matter, I also noticed that in the violet, carbonik, and orchid themes the section [_EMUFLOW_1] appears twice. I'm guessing that doesn't change anything, though.

Yes, I was curious as to what the "s" sections were for myself...

I'm no expert but it might be "Selected" for when you have a game selected and zoomed in before you actually hit the "play" button. That's my best guess.

edit the startup_menu.ini - to hide them set the their page = 0, they should be buttons 0 thru 3. Then move the other buttons up into their row and column.
so would hiding some buttons allow us to have more than 20 plugins?

Having over 20 seems pretty excessive to me but just in case, it would be nice if it would dynamically add and remove pages as needed.

yeah your right s if for when the game is focused, many themes also use "s" for selected to define the texture used when the pointer is over the icon or button, dont know if you guys noticed

Like the Startup Menu im using "ss" for select source, xxxl,r,c for left, right and centre textures(xxx being the name of the button used) and of cause "s" for when the buttons selected, so

It basically helps distinguish what's, what when reading the .ini and keeps thing neat

Found something to fix on r395. Did a fresh install, chose partition 2 (I have FAT32/NTFS), Wiiflow found the games, but nothing else.
Checked wiiflow ini and found all directories were pointing to USB1. Changed manually and things came together.

Another thing I'm getting in the last few revisions I've compiled is (with completely clean install) I've found when downloading gametdb I'm getting DSI dumps.
Strange thing is, with the first issue above, when I downloaded gametdb before correcting the partition number it worked. Obviously it wasn't visible when I fixed the ini, so I downloaded it again and DSI crash right at the end of download. This gametdb crash was happening with r374 for me too.

Any ideas guys?

EDIT: Not sure if these settings are created based on a directory find by Wiiflow. I had a Wiiflow directory (empty) in partition 1 (FAT32). Maybe that was the cause of the weird ini settings?
UPDATE - after testing r401 I found the ini issue didn't happen - must have been due to the empty Wiiflow directory sitting on USB1.

However, I'm still getting crashes in r401 downloading gametdb database with a clean install.
A difference though, is now I don't see the DSI dump screen, but the screen locks on the download bar for gametdb once the download has completed. A zero byte zip file is left over from gametdb download so it doesn't seem to complete.
Am I the only one getting this issue? Never seen it before r395.

I can confirm the empty WiiFlow directory thing. I know it's supposed to be that way so you can tell wiiflow where you want the fresh install files to be made but when I upgraded to r348 and the help file thing was implemented it added a new entry in the INI file to tell it where the help folder was. I had a /wiiflow/ folder on USB1 with just my /plugin/ folder in it and another one on USB2 with everything else. It apparently went in numerical order and found the one on USB1 first and put the help folder there. No big deal but just looks like that's how it decided to work.

About the GameTDB thing, I've always shied away from it because of how many problems it causes with different versions. The last time I installed it (or reinstalled it, I can't remember. It was several versions ago.) It gave me DSI dumps as well. I had to delete all kinds of cache files and stuff before I guess I finally found the right one to stop the errors. By that time I just said screw it and deleted the GameTDB stuff all together. It very well might have worked for me after that point but now I use my app to at least get the titles right with custom_titles.ini.

twist the box 90 degrees and resize them to match original H/W ratio. I noticed the N64 boxes are oriented wrong way you need to not to wrap them around equatorially , but pole to pole (top to bottom) if that makes sense? make sure the box opening "seem/latch" detail is on the top of the box not the right hand side.
Also change boxcolour to 000000 for black :) well.. it looks good for PAL cover style anyway.
Does anyone have the cover art preset in the correct format? Now that the emu games are working I am itching to have the correct cover art for everything.
if the themes used were to position the covers on their side with the spine on the bottom, something like this,

Then the covers could be used in their current format
like this

and this

I am using the default theme throughout WiiFlow. Are there any changes I can make to do this or should the graphics be modified?
Rotate them Like this? (Snes & Wii64 are towards the end of the vid).
Gonna shoot another vid soon, now that i've got the startup_menu.ini setup up nice, and have added a few more sets!
FYI - added TG16 and Neo Geo Pocket covers to the covers thread, see the link in my sig!
The theme pack that [member='fledge68'] had to take down had [member='mastershoes']' flows in it. There was a default.ini in there. I suppose there's no problem with me hosting it by itself.

here it is:

I officially give credit to [member='fledge68'] and [member='mastershoes'] for this content :D one way or the other.
Thanks, that is an awesome set of coverflows :)
I've found that the NES and Genesis game covers I have look fine but the SNES games are rotated. Any way to set the coverflow on the emu screens so it shows those cartridge covers rotated -90 degrees?
Same for the N64 cases and art. If the cases were rotated -90 degrees I think the art would fit perfectly.
So would this be a coding or a coverflow change or both? I think you would only want it in emu mode and only for those 2 game cases.
What I am thinking about would look like this for those covers:
Current:
original.jpg

I would like to see a rotated case for the SNES and N64 games...

rotated.png
Very nice.
Something [member='fledge68'] had said
Old GoogleCode themes Wiki said:
The first six emuflows are from Mastershoes and credit goes to him for that. use #2 for SNES/N64 and #6 for gamegear and all gameboy games.
Just to be sure, is that #2 that we're looking at in your post?

Ah, now it is working nicely for SNES games with these settings:

[EMULATOR]
current_item=
disable=no
dump_list=no
last_cf_mode=2
lastlanguage=EN
partition=1
smallbox=yes
sort=0

But when I enable NES or other games whose case is not rotated those images appear rotated. When you manually have to switch views depending on which emu game type is displayed that isn't very good.

I believe what needs to happen is that WiiFlow needs to know if an emulator covers are rotated or not and if it is displaying that case art auto-rotate/override what the theme says. I believe it is just the SNES and N64 ones that should be rotated -90 degrees when showing them.

fix94/fledge - is this possible?

Also what to do about the N64 cover art? Does anyone have any graphics that are formatted the way that WiiFlow expects to load them longwise?

Almost forgot. I want to set my WiiFlow up so it only shows regular Wii games and emu games... no NAND or Homebrew. Is there anyway to bypass those when cyclng through the game types?

@Fledge how can I remove "Wii Games", "GC Games" "Wiiware" and "Homebrew" buttons from the filter (the one you press + on mode), I don't need them since we have shortcuts, this way I can see all emu-plugins on same page.

edit the startup_menu.ini - to hide them set the their page = 0, they should be buttons 0 thru 3. Then move the other buttons up into their row and column.
Can't find this file! where is it located?

Is anybody else having problems with Black Ops and MW3 working? It tends to freeze at the loading screen everytime. It use to not do this til I had updated my WiiFlow. Any advice would help, Thanks.

What version of WiiFlow are you using?

I just checked with r407 and they work fine.

I am using d2xv8 final CIOS in slots 249/250 with bases 56, 57 and real NAND.

I'm currently at r348, but that's cuz I haven't seen a download link to r407. I will try it tho if I manage to find it and set it up as you mention. Thanks for the quick reply to

So where do bios files go for mednafen? I've gotten everything i've tried running except for TurboGrafx CD (PCE CD), which requires the syscard3.pce bios. I'm pretty sure pcfx requires bios as well.

Edit: Just FYI, I have no problems running PCE CD through wiimednafen, i have that setup correctly. In wiimedafen all the bios files go into the root "wiimednafen" folder.

Having to re-ask.

Its usb:/wiiflow/plugins.

in the wiiflow.ini I've set everything to usb1: because otherwise it doesn't find the covers etc for anything all. It just creates defaults folders and files on the SD card.

Though, now that I have the plugins in the correct wiiflow folder, I tried scummvm, but it fell over after not finding anything in the usb1: folder, I guess because it's looking for usb: ???

So how should I set up the wiiflow.ini? I haven't touched what is ever happening in the scummvm.ini settings.
