i hope the tablet doesn't need a wii u to work/
i wanna take it to school and then use it to play later
The controller is just that: a controller. It's not a handheld and it's not a tablet, so yes, you have to have a Wii U, and no, you can't take it to school with you and play it there unless a Wii U is close by.
Then it should be called a wii u super unnessary controller with a stupid screen that nobody will look at.
or the wii u SUCWASSTNWLA
I disagree.

The same way the DS was called a "GBA super pointless second screen that will never be used for anything ever"?

I have determined the size, a bit.
Compare the D-pad of any other Nintendo system (excluding DSphat) and they're all the same size.
Going by that I'd say this is just a bit bigger than the GBA.
cannot tell if serious... or just trolling :-p
Have a better idea?

GBA length = 5.69 inches
Wii U controller screen size = 6.2 inches

Yep, it's a bit bigger than the GBA alright.

Again, is that confirmed?

Well I just posted a size comparison with measurements, so you can...you know...measure it.

Yes.

That should be obvious. It makes no sense to think that the Wii U controller will be as big as a GBA (if you've used one).

i like his newer controller

look like its using the same Charger as the 3DS does

possible to use 3DS as controller hmmmm
That was pretty much confirmed by Miyamoto last year, he mentioned that they wanted to have the 3DS as a Wii U compatible controller.

it's definitely not "pretty much confirmed". Miyamoto mentioned the possibility and said he would like to look into it to see if something like that "might be possible", but he never indicated that it would be in it, or even if it was much of a priority. but i agree, that would be really cool.

Well at least we will get something like the DS-Wii or GBA-Gamecube connectivity we have seen before. But yeah, your right, he hinted at it and thought it would be a logical addition since it's a portable, one can only hope that more multiplayer games will support this. My guess would be that Smash Bros has this since there are two versions being made.

Indeed. What i find interesting though is Miyamoto's suggestion that the 3DS as a wii u controller is possible at all... if that's true, wouldn't that mean there's some other wireless video streaming technology in the 3DS, besides what's already uses for wifi and streetpass?

I was thinking that it would be more like a classic controller, the 3DS doesn't use Ni-Fi like the Wii U does.

Well, the 3DS does have either a dual core or two CPUs right?

what would the point be, then? Miyamoto was saying this in response to having more than once tablet controller, shop i don't think it makes sense to add the 3ds as a controller if it isn't going you use the screen. and as a classic controller, it would be a pain since it's 2 shoulder buttons short, and has no second analog. but perhaps ni-fi might be built in to a 3DS revision? who knows.

Personally, I think this will be cool. I'm sure nitty will find a good way to implement it. Or at least the game developers. Just imagine the homebrew capabilities.
