Also, on a personal note, Most if not all games run
"An error has occurred, please press the eject button, remove the disc and turn off the console".
I'm using the wads suggested by xflak in the modmii interface. d2x8 final etc. But as Wiiflow advanced is working for me, i'm not sure where I'm going wrong. I've also updated to the latest FIX94 version and the interface is working fine up until i attempt to load a backup.
There are really exciting things happening with this interface and I don't want to miss out.

Has anyone come across this error before?
This is the WiiFlow/WiiFlow-mod site. Mugoto has his own version 'WiiFlow+/Advanced' with a different site for support questions. Which version did you install and where did you get it from? What game is failing?
Sorry, to be clearer. I have been using wiiflow for many years, and wiiflow mod more recently. I was having problems using a favourite game, so flashed a backup nand, reinstalled the latest ios' trying to solve this issue. Since then, I have been unable to use Wiiflow, and have instead been using wiiflow advanced as a launcher. However, I would infinately prefer to use wiflow(mod). I supply the information that i'm using wiiflow advanced because it is odd that it does work, whereas wiflow doesn't, and that might provide a clue to resolve my issue.
And no, i didn't back up my nand before I flashed the old one :-p
In answer to your question,
I'm using the latest wiiflow mod revision, as found on the google code page.
Coverflow interface is fine, if a bit glitchy, it''s just launching any game errors with this message, "an error has occurred..."
If you've read this far you deserve a thankyou.

thankyou.
RESOLVED!
I loaded up an old revision i had in my apps folder(somewhere in the 200's - r215?), when i returned to the latest revision, it worked. I also installed the latest DML 1.4b, and reinstalled BC NUS v6 at the same time, so installing these wads may also help if you come across the same issue.

- added optional startup select source menu. Just set startup_menu=yes under
[GENERAL] in wiiflow.ini to see it on startup. Access it at anytime by pressing '+' while pointing at
the view switch icon. see r337

Ok, I'm excited... A few questions. There's an emulators button, and each emu has it's own button. How does that work? Is it like it was in the plugins menu? Also, does that mean there is no longer a need for the plugins menu? Also, it still only shows the plugins you have installed, correct? Another thing, Can the emulator names be changed to the console names? (Fceugx=NES) Otherwise my dad won't know what the hell he's looking at :P

wow - so many questions,

the emulators button will show all plugins instead of individual ones.

you can still use the plugins menu for selecting more than one emu at a time - say you want to see only nes and snes then you would need the plugins menu. When I came up with this the original intent was only the top six choices but then Fix94 added the plugins menu and I thought hey I could use that to add the plugins too. It's not meant to be a replacement for the plugins menu, In fact I thought about making the emulators button go straight to the plugins menu instead of directly to emu mode.

yes it only shows the plugins installed. and note if you have a dash in the name of your plugin the button for it will be blank. or at least it was for me until i removed the dash.

name change? it might be possible - i will look into it and get back to you.

Code:
[COVERS]
SF8E01=#01A300
Ok, sorry, I guess I forgot about the # symbol in there.
Thanks for doing all the testing, though. I guess we've now learned that the emulator box covers can ONLY be changed in the INI file for it's plugin.

r334, I install in emunand WiiWare, but does not see them.
emunand in HD fat 32 with the games Call of Duty Black Ops and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 you get "error USB Set failed = -6",
emunand SD fat32 it's ok
help me please!!!

can you send me the link r337 or r 338?
thanks

I dont really like the fact if you guys post links here. I'll upload some test rev today if you guys want it so hard :P Would be cool ECSS if you remove the link, thanks. BTW I added "displayname" now as option for the plugin inis.

edit:
So yeah, here is r339 for you guys to test:

Hmm, it seems like we've been getting a lot of reports of -6 errors lately, first [member='VashTS'] then [member='thatfloorguy'] and now you.
For those two games you mentioned, do you have NAND emulation set to "partial" or "full"? Do you have NAND emulation problems with other games or just for those?

Anyway, a few suggestions I always make that I originally overlooked about emuNAND and some things others have suggested recently.
1. Make sure the NAND emulation path is set in wiiflow.ini BOTH for the save path for wii games and the the path for WiiWare games
2. If your nand is in a folder called /NAND/ make sure the INI setting says /NAND/ and not /nand/
3. The INI file doesn't like spaces so it's "setting=value" and NOT "setting = value".
4. Make sure you're using a later version of the D2X cIOS at least base 56 in 249 and base 57 in 250 (better yet, all of the bases in order from 245 up)
5. Try changing the settings between "full" and "partial" for different games. (I think "partial" should be good enough for most normal Wii games but I understand SOME actually need it "full").
6. Make sure your NAND emulation partition is FAT16 or FAT32 with 64k clusters. (an important technical detail)
7. If all else fails try a fresh install of WiiFlow so it uses the default settings. They usually work.

so cause we are talking about nands, how many can wiiflow read? i have 5 nands set up as my emulators. one for nes,wiiware.ect...
an is it the case of saving mw3 to nand or playing online with nand emu.? cause if it's a case of playing online. try an copy your wifi settings over from a nand dump. had to do that with mine to play online with mw3.( sys..??) can't remember full name haven't done it in awhile.

hey fledge, do you think u can make an option for this to select what you do and don't want to display in this menu? for instance, if i wanted to remove "real nand" and "homebrew" from displaying on this menu? or maybe move them to page 2. maybe in an .ini or something. its not a HUGE deal... but i think it would be pretty cool if you could customize what appears in this menu. thanks

I have not looked at the code, but it should respect the "disable=" parts of the wiiflow.ini. If not then that needs to be added.

What would be REALLY cool (and I'm sure REALLY hard to code but ...) would be to merge this with the plugins menu so you could show combine, GameCube and homebrew, for example, with each still having their own separate box size and everything.

Anyway, dreaming doesn't cost anything.

I'm testing 339 with the extended_list_check option set to no
extremely slow loading ~2 mins
emuflow mode also very slow on loading ~5 mins

I'll retry after deleting cache files and see what happens

Edit: I noticed 1 more thing besides slow loading

when i have 15 modes for Wii/GC/EmuNand and only 7 or 8 for brewflow/Emuflow there is a small bug when trying to change brew/emuflow view: after going over all the 7 or 8 views I have to press 6 or 7 times on 1 to view the modes again (as if 15 modes are loaded where 7 are empty)
The right thing will be to have (number_of_modes=x) option in Emuflow and brewflow too

Thanks for the great work Fix & Fledge especially filters but I really hope you look into this slow loading time problem (It's really annoying)
:)

You can also try deleting the ini file and letting Wiiflow recreate. That fixed one slow problem I had.
