As you all know, Kid Icarus Uprising has 91 difficulty levels. 9.0. being the hardest. The game makes it rather difficult because the enemies are harder to take down, they dish out more damage to you and they are more agressive. That being said, is it possible to do all the chapters in intensity 9.0?
It IS, as I have just acheived such a feat. Although I won't gloat, I rather would love to give you tips on how to do such a feat.

1. I know lots of people would rather pick a weapon that is considerd op and throw some good stats in it for better soloing purposes (I'm looking at you, Skyscraper club), and that's fine. But for me, I experimented lots of weapons and I pick the one that is most maneuverable in my case. (My gear is in the spoilers for those who want to see.)

2. A gear with decent power is better or else the enemies WILL be harder to take down. So a weapon with one star or even none in ranged OR melee is NOT recommended, Although you can have lots of stars in one and none at the other, it really depends on which weapon. Say, if it's better in ranged, then you will want to focus in the range stat.

3. One word: DEFENSE. You will want the most defense you can put on a gear (which is 8 btw). Basically, It makes you harder to take down (no duh, Einstein. XD).
Helps a lot during bosses and Air battles. XD

4. Health: OMG that stat is so good, and yet so underrated. It will help you a lot in a pinch. Combine it with max. defense and it basically makes you a tank. XD

Although, other stats that modifies ch shots, dash shots, well basically attack modifiers are ALWAYS appreciated, especially if it makes your weapon better. Stamina is also great to have, makes you able to dodge lots of times and makes you tire less.

Immobolizing stats (i.e freezing and petrification) are always appreciated. Although I would prefer freezing because it doesn't double the defense of the enemies immobilized unlike the latter,

5. Powers:
Health recovery is a must. (I recommend the highest that you have.)
Defensive powers (like Aries Armor, Super Armor) is great to have.
Brief Invincibility: can save you in a pinch.
Tirelessness: Use it if there's a level where you must dodge a lot.. However, it's not necessary as stamina can cover it.
Instant Death attack: Pretty self-explainatory. And it WILL save you against trickier foes and mobs. Although some are immune to it so be careful. (And of course, bosses are also immune to it.)
Effect recovery: Sadly this one is mostly ignored by lots of players. But you will need it against some levels and bosses.
Crisis recovery: Saved me in a pinch a lot.
Quick Charge, Pisces Heal, Libra Sponge(use it only if you have high defense) are a good mention too.

6. Skill: Basically, yes need to know your weapon before you use it. And make sure it is able to handle lots of different situations.

Also, I recommend you not only to try different weapons but also to fuse. And yes you WILL do lots of it. The trickiest part is to pass a very good stat to another weapon. What determines that is the value of your weapon. The higher the value of both the weapon you're trying to fusing, the higher chances of getting the max stats that you want in the fused weapon. If you try to do it with a weaker weapon, and the stat can be passed on, most the the time, it will be paired with a negative stat. Another important note is that, you might as well have incredible stats, but if you do, most of the time the numbers of stars in ranged or melee (or even both) will be low. and vice-versa. The trickiest part of fusing is to strike a balance. (As in having a good defense with decent power).

Now, a great place to start would be chapter 1 (again duh) at intensity 9.0 to know of the difficulty. You may also start weapon farming for weapon of higher values to get the stat you want. (although some chapters are better for it like chapter 21, most of them are hard, however chapter 7 with decent defense is doable and it's great for farming weapons and hearts.).

Oh and of course, always save some hearts to buy high valued weapons. XD
Ok I think that covers everything.

Those who wants to see my gear and the reward are in the spoilers below.

My gear:

And yes, I tackled all the chapters with it. :)

The reward:

Chapter 18: The ring of chaos is the only chapter where the weapon modifiers doesn't apply in Land Battle since you are playing as Magnus. So good Luck.
EDIT: Chapter 20 is also a great place to start. It's surprisinglty very easy to do.
Chapter 24 is the hadest imho. The last boss WILL reduce your HP quickly if you aren't prepared. Even with the highest defense you can have.

That is... a LOT of hearts...

Great guide, man. My main problem is that I just can't seem to grab decent weapons for the job (I don't even have any weapons that are at 300+ value yet). I've only beaten chapter 1 on intensity level 9, but I've been testing other levels on intensities 5-7 to practice, so hopefully that'll help me get some good weapons and experience.

EDIT: Yeah,Farming chapter seven is a good start. I used to do with with Pandora claws, def. +3 with 6 starts in ranged.

Hmm...I can never create a weapon that has both a +8 defense and a +6 health modifier
Though, it would make 9.0 a hell of a lot easier...
It's hard, took me a LONG time to find a weapon with both, and to fuse with another weapon while keeping both stats and a decent power.

I had this:
Meteor Bow
Value: 339
Ranged: 1
mele: 0
Overall def. +8
Health +6
Freezing +3
Dash ch shot +2
In-peril autododge +3
Powerful stats and powerful defense. However, it was hard to kill. Very hard. So I fused with with another weapon to get the gear (in spoilers) I use to solo chapters in intensity 9.0. Great power and defense. XD. And i can basically farm all chapters without dying even once. XD
The reason I still know the bow's stats is because I kept it as a gem. XD
It's funny because, contrary to popular belief, chapter 25 is very easy with those stats against Hades.

lol, what sucks is... too bad they don't let you add more hearts to increase the level when you end up dying. XD
Lol, hahaha so true. but even if you fail a chapter in intensity 9.0. If you can keep the weapon, you might get a 300+ valued weapon.
One of the advices of the loading screen is, if you get a weapon and die, both the chapter intensity and the stats of the weapon you *already got* will be lowered. So, the weapon stats will only be final after you complete the chapter. I stopped playing every chapter on 9 difficulty thanks to that (Also, thanks do dying once or twice and the cost per chapter being above 20k)

Actually no, If you choose to CONTINUE, THAT'S when it will be lowered. Believe it or not, I've gotten lots of powerful weapons doing that. Especially before I got my gear.

i myself love Violet Palms, but i can't seem to make one right now with those kinds of def mods. the one i use right now just have Weakening +3 and Shot Range +3. shot range helps a lot as it makes my charged shots go through more enemies, and the continuous fire really reaches quite far.

Yeah of course. but again, it's hard to get health defense and health together. My advice: Get high valued weapons and make it by fusion. XD If you want to know the value of my first weapon that had both stats, check my previous post. It's 339. Kind of high, isn't it? I got it from farming chapter 7 a LOT.

Yes that's good, but remember your shots will travel far, but they lose power overtime. XD

Somehow all this makes the multiplayer sound very unbalanced.
Not at all. Because when you die, your team loses HP according to the value of your weapon. So let's say you have a very good weapon (a value of 300) and you just died. The power team bar is at 900 as a default. So, when you die, the amount of your weapon (in this case, 300) gets subtracted from your team power bar (900-300=600). Meaning, you're not allowed to die more than three 3 times if don't want you become the angel. Although I've known some people that die purpously because either they have faith in the team, or they have a strategy. And believe me, in a high frenzy match, if your teammates die a lot, just dying once makes you the angel.
