So you know your Angry Birds -- Red, Blue, Yellow, Black, White, Green, Big Brother & Mighty Eagle. You've been to Rio and met Blu, and even Blu & Jewel tied together. You've seen the Seasons change and met Orange. In the picture above, I see a Purple bird -- who knows who you're going to meet in Space?

On March 22, Rovio Entertainment blasts the Angry Birds out into Space!

* 60 interstellar levels!
* Regular free updates!
* Brand new birds!
* Brand new superpowers!
* Zero-gravity space adventures!
* Trick shots using planets’ gravity!
* New in-app purchases for iOS!
* Hidden bonus levels!
* Beautifully detailed backgrounds!

Rovio promises us a completely new game with "innovative" new gameplay. Float through space in zero gravity and use the pull of nearby planets to set up stunning trick shots. Enjoy everything from slow-motion puzzles to lightspeed destruction. Familiar birds and gameplay elements will return, and they bring six new friends to the party.

With a whole galaxy to explore, the sky is no longer the limit!

Angry Birds Space will initially release for Android, iOS, Mac and PC. Other platforms will be announced later.

Angry Birds wasn't really for me (but I didn't go out of my way to hate on it's existence because I know it's a good game) but this looks really good.

This looks like a huge step up. This game actually looks interesting.

Is it just me or does the title screen look kinda like Super Mario Galaxy with all the weird purples and rim lights?

I honestly think this is really the first update to really make a change in the mechanics. Waiting forward for the gameplay on all devices.

On another matter: Rovio why no love for Symbian^3/Windows Phone? o_O'

Have either of you actually tried one of the newer phones with Symbian Belle or Windows Phone? I mean really use one instead of just looking at it in a shop? Symbian^3 for example has changed a lot from the original -> Anna -> Belle. If you've really tried, you'd notice it yourself instead of just based on reviews. Just like I could possibly get an Android to go boink or an iPhone to go zork. Well at least there are other options than the iOS and Android. I'd hate to be a customer and have to choose from only 2 options :)

I have an iphone. But for about 3 months i used Dreamboard to set up my system to look as much like a windows phone as possible.

welcome to box physics.

might be the jelousy speaking, but seriously, how much money and sequels can one make out of one simple physics demo. and the news sites, including gbatemp keep on covering it. what the fuck.

lastly, this isnt a fun game. its boring casual shit, not much different from those crappy facebook games and flash games for housewives.

Tetris is fun. PuyoPop is fun. Angry Birds isn't, especially not after sequel #999
