Since my brother upgraded to a new tablet, I've obtained an android tablet and it won't let me download from the android market (no android device associated with my google account)..

Is there any way to download free android market games from other places?

You can set you device to allow apps from unknown sources and just download them from many other places, google is your friend!
Though you should be able to link your device to your google account and use the android market. I also suggest getting the Amazon App Store Application because they have many things that you can't get from the normal market.

Indeed there is, but the sites that I know of tend to have paid games, cracked as well as free...

I know about amazon, but I'm looking more for something you don't have to put a credit card number into until payment. I don't want my roommates accidentally charging to my card.

Also, google hasn't helped me in finding anything. It looks like almost everything links to the android market.

If the game you want isn't in any alternative market just google the game you want with .apk added to it & you should find a link easily.

But the point is NOT to install warez...
Well, I wanted Minicraft and that's not warez. That's technically a fanmade game that was ported from the PC that was simply listed on the Android Market.

Getjar doesn't have it, so I'll have to go googling around for it.

You know, I have no idea how my brother survived without getting a better app downloader... Though he may have had a better one. He DID say he deleted most of the apps. I just wouldn't think he'd delete any good app downloaders.

Who said anything about warez ?I had to get free apps this way for several months when I first bought my phone thanks to google not allowing my region to download most apps back then .

No Minecraft had an official Android release.....

Ah, my bad then. Sorry for assuming.

Sora the PM link I sent you has Minecraft Pocket Edition, is that the one you talking about?
No, I was talking about a port of Notch's game for some competition. This, if you have no idea what I'm talking about. It's like Minecraft except if it were made for the Game Boy Color.

With Minecraft Pocket Edition, I'd rather wait until it's more than just a creative move without all the available blocks.

Minicraft.

Anyway, what is your tablet? That might explain why the Market is unavailable.
A 7 inch Nextbook. Next7p, I think. I think it's pretty new, but my brother claims he wanted a bigger screen for his android needs.

1Mobile Market [http://www.1mobile.com/] seems to have a lot of the free apps from the official market.

EDIT: Including minicraft ;)

Minicraft didn't work out. The movement controls were VERY unresponsive.

You think 1Mobile Market would have a working version of Fruit Ninja or a correctly-formatted version of Robot Unicorn Attack? Fruit Ninja kept crashing back to the home menu with no error messages (or crashing messages) and Robot Unicorn Attack's menus were glitchy enough visibly to crash the game if I went through them enough or tried to change the control scheme.

That was....one of those best games I've ever played. :O
