Gaming DS Lite Top Screen Very Dimmed / Black & White / Blurry

I had done a full housing replacement for my niece because her original DS Lite's hinge and overall housing was destroyed from her constant droppings. Anyways, I did a successful replacement however when I was moving the top LCD to the new housing I noticed that the LCD wasn't sitting down properly because the screen was not flushed.. the metal portion right below the screen was bulging out so I couldn't place it down into the top housing without using a pair of tweezers to pancake it down. Which this eventually led to this new problem, a broken/malfunction top LCD screen. Ironic how I originally was replacing her housing due to the BOTTOM touch screen being broken which is now successfully repaired but the top LCD is now broken. ):

Anyone know if I had broke her top LCD? Because I had to flatten the screen out. Anyways, I tried many times to completely push the top LCD ribbon onto the mother board to insure that it was tightly connected rather than loosely.

P.S. Her top LCD was working perfectly before I had tampered with it. Oh yeah and I had accidentally SOMEHOW ripped one of her speaker's delicate wiring off the soldering paste. So now it's making noises on the left speaker when I turn on the DS. o.o"

(I Photoshopped it, but I think you guys get a gist of it, the screen is not flushed even when completely placed down flushed on the other side. The inside will remain bulging upwards causing me to FORCEFULLY close the top housing and screwing it.)
P.S. The bulging portion is actually on the VERY OPPOSITE side of the displayed picture therefore not tampering with any actually LCD but only the upper metal portion.

You weren't supposed to apply excessive force on a seemingly-important piece of the top screen.
I assume it is broken.

Yeah I know, I watched plenty of YouTube videos telling me I shouldn't need to use excessive force. However, the top screen turned out lopped sided so I took it out and placed it on a flat surface (my table) and took tweezers and pancaked it down to evenly flat it (the metal portion under the screen, not the actual screen itself) other wise it wouldn't have even fit into the top housing much less TRYING to close the top housing.

It is broken. Some part of it has been dislocated leading to this nuisance.

I see, I guess it's time to look into a replacement LCD. Anyways, would I be able to re-solder the dislocated red audio cable or should I just go ahead and purchased new ones?
