I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that this Crown3DS is really a fake after all... though I guess we'll just have to wait until it's released.
crownds say "did encounter an unexpected issue during the testing period" , but they not tell what "unexpected issue" ? is shown on first video? is just fool to everyone to kept their website (product) is not fake?
maybe, or maybe it was the fw update, but you think they could just release it anyways if that were the case, would suck having to buy 2 units , 1 for eshop and and other newer fw features and 1 for cart games but better than nothing i guess
I can see this working, if it looks like a game to the 3DS. Ofcourse that would exclude menus and stuff, but you could potentially select a game in DS-mode then reboot into 3DS-mode.

I would love for this to actually be real...Im not counting on it. Wish we had more information or news on development or something besides the one video. If it is real I'll probably be one of the first few to purchase it though lol.
Well after watching the video: If this is a fake it's really elaborate. There don't seem to be any edits in this video. So the only way to fake it ,would be to wire the game to the board off camera and just passing it through the board to the 3DS.
This topic should be deleted. Crown3ds didn't gave us any reasonable proof of their work on 3DS system. It's obvious that they have some other interests.
Some other people deserves much more attention than some fakey project. For example, Neimod from 3dbrew.org has shared some impressive photos of his hard work on finding an exploit in 3DS system.

What if they meant Crown3DS could hold up to a 512MB ROM? That actually makes it look even less legit. They can't fit a 2GB file inside a 512MB chip.

Read the first post in this thread, it quotes Crown3DS from a few months ago when it was first revealed. It seems Crown3DS removed the 512MB part. It seems weird that the team would get the size wrong. Maybe it was a mistake they made? The community will see sooner or later, I guess.
That is not an impressive photo, that is the 3DS' bottom screen upside-down.
EDIT: Never mind, I read up on his efforts and figured out WHY it's impressive.
