To be fair this really surprised me I do have one and I love it but I never thought it would sell that well ,I did honestly think Nintendo had mucked up on this one but its nice to hear it's doing well The more people buy it the more support it gets

Gamecube nor N64 sold that hot either. Nintendo had real success with GB/C GBA, NDS and Wii. 3DS sells to be catching on as well.

This accomplishment unfortunately will have to be short lived as PC Mag considers the 3DS a 'tech disappointment'.

but its not only the sw that sold it, its the amazing price drop which was catalysed by the sw that brought this change
and besides, at e3 ppl were superhyped but i believe the price/sw made them feel unhappy which was then/now solved

All I said is that PC Mag are right, apart from a few games, there is nothing going for the 3DS right now. I didn't say it's an ultimate failure and should be removed from the face of the planet which it looks like you're trying to make it out to be, it could be the best handheld ever but right now it's crud. Plenty of other people agree with me and have said this before, not just on here but on other sites too. It might not be a universal agreement towards the 3DS but it's plenty agreed upon.

I'm sure Guild shares his opinion, as may a few others, but 3DS is generally a success and, in terms of popularity, very successful.

EDIT: I saw mention that the 3DS only has a few games going for it. To that point, I raise the question, "what else would a GAME system have going for it, if not games?"

There are only 3 real blockbuster titles (One of which is a remake of a past game) for the 3DS at the current time, and it's been out for nearly 9 months.

I enjoy my 3DS, but seriously, there's not much out there for it yet. This year is going to bring a lot of great games though, and I'm looking forward to them.

Got to agree until maybe when RE: Revelations comes out which is so far the only game that I look at and think "man I want a 3DS". I had a go on Mario 3D Land and its a really good game but not really something I'd slap down £120 plus £35 for, unlike what Mario Galaxy did for Wii for me. 3DS does have a lot of games I would play but I'm busy with other games and to be honest all of those games aren't really ones I'd pay full price for or are desperate to play with exception to Pushmo which is download and cheap.

Don't get me wrong, this time next year this thign will be fucking essential soon with Paper Mario, Kid Icarus, Luigi's Manshion 2, Rodea (if it comes out in the West) and a lot of others, even more if I didn't think the Monster Hunter or Kingdom Hearts series were tediously dull.

3DS is generally a success and, in terms of popularity, very successful.

Its sold very well indeed and is a success in sales terms but for me it doesn't seem popular, I've yet to have seen a single 3DS being played in public and that to me is what makes something popular.

All fine games, given there's a few remakes. This year should be even more better,

Like I said before when you criticize someone or something you can only do so for yourself you can't speak for others unless you're spokesman of some kind.
Anyways I have to agree on the shallow game library but still I'm doing fine with just these few games.
