If your usb-loader folder is on your SD card, remove the following lines from config.txt:
music = usb:/usb-loader/music
covers_path = usb:/usb-loader/covers
covers_path_2d = usb:/usb-loader/covers/2d
covers_path_3d = usb:/usb-loader/covers/3d
covers_path_disc = usb:/usb-loader/covers/disc
covers_path_full = usb:/usb-loader/covers/full

If you have everything on your USB, upload your meta.xml file for me and I'll edit it.

Ah, it's on the SD card.
Testing now.

Oh yay, it works! :D
Thank you very much! Could I ask exactly why those lines prevented it from working?

It was trying to save the covers in non-existant folders, and the resulting error caused it to crash.

does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?
after a long forum absence and a stable wii without modifications i tried to update cfg-loader 65-222 to 70-222.
i have a usb drive completely wbfs-formatted (since the beginning of the loaders).

after that update, cfg-loader does not find the wbfs partition on my drive any more.
even when setting partition mode from auto to wbfs.
when reverting to 65-222, everything works fine and stable again.

the original config file does not contain a partition line.
error message is "Partition: auto not Found". with '70 in that setup.
when adding a line with "WBFS1" it states that that partition can not be found.
when reverting back to 65 as said it works without the partition line.

...and a stable wii without modifications i tried to update cfg-loader 65-222 to 70-222.
...after that update, cfg-loader does not find the wbfs partition on my drive any more.

I just popped on to see if someone had already reported this because I did the exact same last night. After I updated, my drive couldn't be mounted at all. I could unplug it (from the Wii and power supply) and plug it back in without any improvement. Then I plugged it into my PC, plugged it back into the Wii and it mounted straight away. That's when I get the message that no partitions were found. The drive has 1 FAT32 partition.

After some testing, I found the problem was introduced in v70b6. v70b5 is working fine for me using 248 or 222.

The cIOS used doesn't seem to matter. I've updated to the latest versions using the recommended bases and also used older ones with the same results. I was originally using v70 249, but during my tests I only tried the 222 versions. I'll run though the same test later tonight with the 249 versions just to make sure.

One other little thing. When I have the nunchuk connected, I get a code dump in v70b5. It happens when it's connected on start up or as soon as I plug it in. It's not really a problem for me because it's easy enough just to connect it after booting a game. I'll also check this later tonight to see what version it started to happen in and post the code dump.

Hi everyone, I dont know if anyone can help me with my little problem.

I'm using Config USB V70 and have not had any problems until recently. Any new games I add now, and not necessarily new releases, do not show up on my list anymore. It just shows blank game covers, when I try to download the covers it just says "Invalid game ID", my WBFS manager recognizes the games fine as does R8 gamma. I prefer using Config USB over R8 gamma and was wondering if anybody has any ideas why this would happen all of a sudden when it was working fine before.

Thanks in advance

Hello, I´m trying to use a toshiba canvio 3.0, that in your compatibility list says it doesn´t work, but I was able to use the hdd with cios d2x v7 on slot 249 base 58 and cios hermes 5.1 on slot 222, the problem is that when I use it in this way I cannot load any games when I choose the right cios, for example Zelta SS, I choose slot 247 that is cios d2x base 56, but the game never loads correctly. Any ideas? Or I have to use another hdd?

Hi, can you only use the HDD with IOS58 base? Because IOS58 base is shit lol. Please install 249 base 56 and 250 base 57. I can personally recommend you hermes cios rodries mod, that seems to be the most stable IOS, I personally use it too and it works just fine with everything.

Yes, the only way that I can use my hdd is with d2x v7 on 249 base 58 or cios hermes 222 5.1, the only way is using open wii flow (r346) with cios 222, but I have to connect my hdd in the start up screen. Using CFG USB loader I can load my HDD with cios 222 normally, but any game it´s working.

Yeah, thats a problem with IOS 58, not many games load with that cIOS, or are working very bad..

If what i (in the wiiflow topic) and FIX94 have suggested does not work, it is probably best to buy a new HDD..because this one does seem to work very well with cIOS/USB loaders

What base is 222? Have you tried 223[38+37]v4? It's the hermes equivilant of base 56.

Hi.

I see there are categories to be used as filters but I can't see how to assign a game to a category:

is there anybody who can help me with this, please?

You can't. The categories are defined by WiiTDB.

Base 38
Try downgrading 222 and 223 to v4 so it looks like this:
202[60]v5.1 rodries mod
222[38]v4
223[38+37]v4
224[57]v5.1 rodries mod

Then try Cfg on 222/223. You can get the wads from ModMii.

Is there a "place" in CFG USB loader where I can see or even put categories information?

Thanks.
