Hi.

I see there are categories to be used as filters but I can't see how to assign a game to a category:

is there anybody who can help me with this, please?

Thanks.
You can't. The categories are defined by WiiTDB.
Yes, the only way that I can use my hdd is with d2x v7 on 249 base 58 or cios hermes 222 5.1, the only way is using open wii flow (r346) with cios 222, but I have to connect my hdd in the start up screen. Using CFG USB loader I can load my HDD with cios 222 normally, but any game it´s working.
What base is 222? Have you tried 223[38+37]v4? It's the hermes equivilant of base 56.

Base 38
Try downgrading 222 and 223 to v4 so it looks like this:
202[60]v5.1 rodries mod
222[38]v4
223[38+37]v4
224[57]v5.1 rodries mod

Then try Cfg on 222/223. You can get the wads from ModMii.

Thanks I give it a try, How it´s possible to install a cios with two different bases in one slot?

Can you still load with 222?

I think I finally got it, I have to install cios 222 base 38 but with the mod by Spaceman Spiff, and use wiiflow for cios 222, was the only way to load games with my hdd.

hi there, not sure if this is the right place but here goes. got latest version of cfg loader on my wii. all app files regarding cfg loader are on sd card and games on ntfs drive. now ive decided i want it all on hdd, ive partioned as ntfs and second partion as fat32. now all games seem to load but no covers. ive transferred everything from sd to usb and no covers ive tried to set the path for my usb drive. now when i try to download covers for latest games i get exception dis error or something.... im a complete noob and im trying to sort out for my son

Just completed a Xflax install a couple of days ago and everything worked fine and today the Cfg USB Loader keeps crashing. I can use WiiFlow, but the images run faster than a track star and is uncontrollable. I have a US 4.3 older Wii.....and like I said, I can use WiiFlow if I don't mind playing games at random. I will run ModMii again to see if it corrects it, but I would like to see if anyone else is having this issue.

I'm sorry if it's been asked, but is there a way to make Configurable USB Loader report played titles to the Wii Menu so that they show up properly in Wii Menu's play history, rather than as CfgUsbLoader entries?

Add this line to your config.txt file:
Code:
write_playlog = 1

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to completely disable top and bottom menu using the configurator.

Thank you and apologies if this has been answered a million times before...

Nope.

if you mean the gui, yes you can disable it. i believe its disable_gui, make it 1 and it should be gone, i turned it off personally because i was tired of seeing it. you can do it in configurator.

if you don't mean the gui, then i don't know what you are referring to.

I don't experience it much myself although it happens to me every once in a wile but the kid are complaining the wiimote goes dead almost every time they launch the new version, how do I make it stop doin that?
I only recently updated there Wii after a few years. I downloaded the new 222 version and updated the ioses wile I was at it. The hdd is formatted in fat.

I guess I can try the main version since these days 222 is just compulsory and is no longer needed but I don't know if this is the problem

edit: also noteworthy its booting from a forwarder channel off the hdd

edit2: it seems to be a bug in 222 I switch to the main addition and I seems I can no longer get it to do that.

btw I have been using version 70 currently the latest one to be clear

edit:nope I was wrong I think it has something to do with the forwarder

What's the difference between USB Loader GX and CFG? Which is better and what are the disadvantages and advantages of CFG rather than USB Loader GX. I know CGF's GUI is better but does it support ocarina, online update, online download of box cover and cheat list?

P.S.

I want to know the difference of NTFS and FAT. what are advantages of using NTFS rather than FAT? and which is recommended format FAT or NTFS?

TNX

cfg-loader supports ocarina, online updates, online download of box covers and cheat lists. cfg-loader is the currently most stable game loader. GX also got other features like playing wiiware and virtual console games from hdd, keep the saves on hdd and such. But if you just wanna play games and don't need other features go with cfg-loader.

Nearly all homebrew apps just support FAT32. NTFS is great for WiiMC (watch videos etc) and the USB Loaders (play games) because on NTFS the files don't need to be split, FAT32 got a filesize limit of 4GB. On FAT32 the games will be split and they are not slower or so. I personally have on FAT32 and one NTFS partition on my hdd, but you need to decide for yourself ;)
