Take note that this remains a rumor, it is unconfirmed and may very well not be true. Gaming sites are reporting a possibility of a mysterious remake of a game from a very famous Japanese RPG series. The game is said to be coming to the Nintendo 3DS and is the "7th" title in said famous series (which again is unamed). The best theories however point towards the remake being either of Final Fantasy VII or Dragon Quest VII. Final Fantasy VII is highly requested among fans to get a remake. Square Enix used it as a tech demo for the PS3 and fans had thought that may eventually lead to a remake. That's on a Sony system however. If it's one of these two series', Dragon Quest VII is the more plausible one. The entire series has been very Nintendo-centric lately. With remakes of IV, V, and VI recently on the DS, as well as the original Dragon Quest IX for DS and the upcoming Dragon Quest X on Wii. It would makes sense that they may wish to continue remaking the series on the newest Nintendo handheld as they had for the previous ones.
As i stated though, take this rather vague rumor with a grain of salt (or maybe an entire spoonful). Until formally confirmed or revealed, it's just speculation. However, the info leak came from a Twitter user named Creamsugar, who I am told accurately leaked the info that Monster Hunter Tri would be receiving an updated version ported to the 3DS (prior to it being formally announced). The Twitter poster didn't name his or her source either (though they mention it's the same source that provided the Monster Hunter Tri G leak).
