Rayman 3 Getting A HD Makeover

Ubisoft have today announced that Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is receiving a HD makeover which is due out for release on Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network in Spring 2012.
The game will reportedly feature around 15-20 hours of gameplay and will also include a wide array of extra content to unlock, which includes: achievements, online leaderboards and nine fun stand-alone mini games.

So now they're moving on from milking Rayman 2 to milking Rayman 3? Hopefully once they're done with this one we can finally get a new 3D Rayman platformer.

Rayman 3 was pretty great though, much better than 2.

Well I'm sure if the Wii hadn't had such a crappy online service and space restrictions they may have considered a none HD release on WiiWare. Ubisoft aren't releasing this as a retail, its digital only. If you want it, you can buy the Gamecube version for very little or you can load it up on the Gamecube back up loader. This way you can still get a good version rather than the potential crap port that Ubisoft does with its old games.

Now its my time to bitch about the "no PC love" which stops me from bitching about the poor quality HD releases Ubisoft have done so far that made the games look worse than their PS2/GC/Xbox counterparts.

Nice, I absolutely love Rayman 2&3. That`s also why I prefer 3D Rayman games, even though I love the 2D ones as well. Hopefully these re-releases will cause developers to start develope some more 3D plattformer again. I kinda miss them...

Also I think these last gen games somehow look better in blurry SD then in HD!

There was a Rayman 3? I mean, I remember the second one (I played the crap out of it on the N64 but didn't have a memory card, so I played through the beginning a lot) and the hooplah over the rabids, but this went under my radar.

I'm not sure if this is really a necessary port, but whatever.

Ubisoft makes poop in general. Even more so on the wii than others. I’d like to see them publish Girls Slumber Party on the PS3 and see how that would sell. Rayman Origins wasn’t going to be on the wii, since it was going to be a DD only. Then again, I’ve been disappointed by a lot of devs/pubs with the wii & PC games, so it is no surprise they didn’t make it for the wii (or PC). I believe there is also a Rayman 3 game for the PC too.

I was thinking about picking it up, but I heard Rayman 3 is really short. Well, on the plus side, it isn’t Rayman 2 HD.
