Alright guys this is my first topic and im not really sure if its in the right section,
ok so as we all know ds is almost at its end and what a journey it had.
i bought my first ds very late .... on 26 feb 2011!!!!!
and i have already finished almost all games it has to offer, :P
right now everyone is thinking of moving on to the 3ds because of its uber awesome linerup for 2011-2012(monster hunter, kid icarus, mario kart, etc etc)
so why not share your most nostalgic moments or games on the ds which still bring tears to your eyes when you recall them.
for eg;
i personally feel like crying when i see the opening of final fantasy IV even today.( gosh!! that music!!) :(
i still feel the urge to start a new game on alllllll my poke games (platinum, soulsilver, white) and just fking start over on another adventure!
so guys please share your own moments which you cherish and will never let go and might even suggest some games that you think must be tried out!!!!!!

Ok, I have to call you out on the fact that you are stating you have finished "almost all games it has to offer" in 8 months. I call bullshit on that. I have completed 40+ games since 08 and that is a bit more believable. Most of those games were 50+ hour rpgs as well. And my DS Lite is not almost done. I have 100+ more games yet to play and dont plan to put it down any time soon. I am glad you have enjoyed it though.

Oh shoot... I wish that was a lie.
I'm so gonna get pissed if Nintendo did that.
Where's the love Nintendo??

they started about creating a new system
but they are waiting for the results of how the sell of the 3DS game will be
just like the so called special DSi games there were only 7 games created -_-
idunno how long its gonna take on the 3DS

"and i have already finished almost all games it has to offer,"

This is THE single biggest flaw in all of gaming. Buying games that have only one play through on them. Generally a waste of money and cram that analogy of you only watch a movie once.

I began with Panzer Tactics as my reason to get my Nintendo DS. But ended up with Steel Horizion and Age of Empires and Advance Wars before the company got Panzer Tactics on the shelf.

All 4 games mentioned above, have endless replays, so the thing is, you will never finish playing ANY of them. Nor the other titles I have like Commander Europe at War or the other Age of and Advance Wars titles. Nor Civilization.

I picked up a Nintendo DSi XL because the bigger screen is much better (and the 3d screen of the 3DS means nothing to some of us).

If you only play games that have one play through, that is YOUR mistake.

The DSi will be done, when I say so and not before. Just because they have concluded making new play them only once titles doesn't mean the unit loses worth 5 seconds later.

ok so as we all know ds is almost at its end and what a journey it had.
...been dead for quite a while, actually. Except a few fun games, most of the "latest titles" were shovelware.
i bought my first ds very late .... on 26 feb 2011!!!!!
Good for you! It has a whole lot of fun games in its library!
...and i have already finished almost all games it has to offer, :P
...surely you jest? The console has over 5000 library entries, even if we divide it by 3 (regions) it still leaves us with about 1500 games to play. Heck, I bought mine a year or two ago and haven't played all of the interesting ones... and I play on my DS daily, hell, my buttons with no writting on them anymore are the testament of those awesome gaming moments.
right now everyone is thinking of moving on to the 3ds because of its uber awesome linerup for 2011-2012(monster hunter, kid icarus, mario kart, etc etc)
No. Not all of them. Some enjoy their Vita Dreams instead. Seriously, there's like, 5 interesting games on the 3DS (out or to be released) so-far IMO. I'd rather wait till it has more to offer.
so why not share your most nostalgic moments or games on the ds which still bring tears to your eyes when you recall them.
Playing during the night, playing with my beautiful gal, playing while in-class, Hotel Dusk, Hotel Dusk, Order of Ecclesia baby!
i personally feel like crying when i see the opening of final fantasy IV even today.( gosh!! that music!!) :(
That reminds me, I don't remember if I finished that game or not... surely not 100%...
i still feel the urge to start a new game on alllllll my poke games (platinum, soulsilver, white) and just fking start over on another adventure!
*brruppt* New-age pokemon games... no-no, play a bit of Pokemon Yellow - classic.

As far as must-have games are concerned...

Hotel Dusk series
Ace Attorney series (especially liked Investigations, still waiting for no.2)
Castlevania series (I mean, c'mon - it's Vania people!)
007 GoldenEye (Multiplayer's spot-on, mmm-hmm)
Metroid Prime: Hunters (Awww Yeah!!!)
Call of Duty series (Only for the multi, but still. Especially liked Modern Warfare)
Phantasy Star Zero (One of the best games for the DS out there, a must-have)
Radiant Historia (Great RPG, although I had low expectations for it, it pleasantly suprised me)
Shin Megami Tensei series (awesome series indeed, gotta play it to understand)
Sonic Rush series (Sonic, f-yeah!)
Sonic Chronicles (an underdog, and an acquired taste)
Harvest Moon series (gotta love a bit of farming)
Rune Factory series (same, just in fantasy times!)
Final Fantasy series (well, duh?)
Gundam Seed Zero (with an english menu translation. Don't understand a thing, but it's tons of fun anyways)
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga series (very creative battle engine, keeps you entertained unlike the standard option-choosing)
Dementium series (just cause they have a nice, indie feel to them and they're really well-made)
Advance Wars series (loved'em since the GBA)
Solatorobo: Red the Hunter (

I'm going to add to the bashing you're receiving for that statement :P
I believe you're not aware of all the games it has to offer.

I also got my first ever DS (DSi) in Feb this year! :grog:
Then a 3DS in May and a DSi XL in July

Played some awesome games so far:
Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time
Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Super Mario 64 DS
Professor Layton Curious Village
Professor Layton Diabolical Box
GTA Chinatown Wars (playing right now)

And I'm sure I've forgotten a few in the middle. And I still have a big list of games to play.

I must say, Chinatown Wars is pretty epic.

ya man i agree with the VITA dreams but i being a neutral person( i own a ds and a psp) i still feel inclined towards ninty nonetheless,
as for the 3ds releases, COME ON!!!!
i mean i agree that currently the released titles suck but look at the upcoming ones, i am pretty sure nintendo is holding back as its is waiting for the release of vita .
but as far as i know these are the must play games coming up.
monster hunter tri g(jap)
monster hunter 4(jap)
kingdon hearts( with TWEWY chars! in it)
kid icarus( classic!)
resident evil
and mario kart 7

as there is no flashcart for the 3ds right know i think even these few games could keep me skipping meals for months,
cuz you kno, when you actually spend money on a game, you tend to play it to its fullest whereas when you download oneyou get satisfied pretty easily most of the time(as there are hundreds of games left to download)
check out this vid for upcoming games

Ok I take that back. Just saw your post :) What, are you playing your DS non-stop?

What DS do you have? What color? Where did you get it? And what flashcart do you have?

Me too, got a PSP for christmas last year, left it at my gf's house, started playing on it 2 months ago and I'm gobsmacked - how could I pass on SO MUCH FUN. Both are great consoles.
as for the 3ds releases, COME ON!!!!
i mean i agree that currently the released titles suck but look at the upcoming ones, i am pretty sure nintendo is holding back as its is waiting for the release of vita .
but as far as i know these are the must play games coming up.
Nintendo can only hold up their own games, what about third party? They're surely not holding back, they have no reason to.
monster hunter tri g(jap)
monster hunter 4(jap)
kingdon hearts( with TWEWY chars! in it)
kid icarus( classic!)
resident evil
and mario kart 7
Not interested in KH all that much, Kid Icarus looks interesting, but how is it a classic? It has nothing to do with the original. Resident Evil is what truly interests me in the line-up, that and Monster Hunter 4 (I've had enough of ports, so 3 is a no-no. Seriously, Portendo 3DS has to stop).
as there is no flashcart for the 3ds right know i think even these few games could keep me skipping meals for months,

I play my games to the fullest regardless of whether I bought or downloaded them. I just feel uneasy when there's something else there that I could unlock.

i Have a mario 25th anniversary special edition RED DSI XL with a clear case on it ( its SMEXY!!!!!!)
yeah and i have two flashcarts
i had a green r4i
on which i used animex's firmware( i was a newb a few months ago when it came to firmwares, i)
then i bought a purple r4itt cuz i wanted to upgrade my dsi xl to v1.4.3 JUST for the zelda game
actually i really like my r4itt cuz i can have ysmenu on it (with rgf updates) i can have wood r4 on it (only uptil v1.33)
i can have wood 4tt on it and i can have its official firmware(which is Bad!)
i have only bought 3 original games
pokemon platinum
mario kart
new super mario bros
i have 300+ hours on pokemon platinum .. hehe i used the day care trick and kept it on overnight

you know what i am having 3ds dreams because of one sole reason
monster hunter!!!!!! i sooo love that game. i played mh 1 and mh dos on my ps2 and even played freedom/unite on my psp , i have fallen in love with the series and when i got to know that it was coming to the 3ds i jumped up with joy and started dancing, i was almost as happy as i was when i beat my first Rathalos in monster hunter 1 ( Man!! it was a pain) lol
i think ill ask my parents for the 3ds this december

*brruppt* New-age pokemon games... no-no, play a bit of Pokemon Yellow - classic
yup played them, tried yellow on emulator, but played leaf green, fire red, ruby, saphhire, emerald alll on my gba sp loved them have 200+ hours average on all of them

hey just asking..
how many of you get that uneasy ,sad, but happy, helpless, kind of feeling when you have finished almost everyhting in your version of pokemon( like you have caught all legendaries, got a bunch of shinies, beat the elite four, kicked some ass online)

My father told me that Nintendo is going to make a new DS that can play PSP games in HD, allows you to timetravel, has 10" screens and only cost $20!

Haters gonna hate. I'm sure he meant the WiiU, but "thanks, but no thanks" to the 3DS failing, it's just "the right time" for a new home console in Nintendo Land.
