I haven't played with it yet, but I would highly recommend you incorporate some of wiibackupmanager's features, like cover support and comparing games on different hard drives or folders, transfer from one drive to another, select games on HDD1 that are not on HDD2, etc.... for all I know u do that already, but I doubt it only because that would make your first release unbelievably comprehensive. But for me personally to make the switch to using this 100% of the time over WBM, it would have to incorporate some of WBM's features.

It's a good thing we're friends otherwise I'd feel bad for giving you advice on an app I haven't even used once, lol :D

In my opinion WBM is perfect except it can't convert to sneek format and where\how it saves covers could be improved... oh, and cross-platform compatability would be nice too... not to mention GC support.

Anyways, I'm sure if u devote your time to this project u can do anything, the sky is the limit for you my friend :D

I like the simplicity of your app :)

Even though it does not contain most of the features as WBM I would still however consider using it; I like simple and do not like dealing with too many options.

Have you ever heard the phrase "Choices make life miserable"
A man walks into a store looking to buy a pair of pants; he has not bought pants for almost 12 years. The man spends X hours trying on X pairs of pants before he decides which ones to buy. In the back of his mind he will always wonder about that other pair of pants that walked away....
Here are some suggestions if your open to them.
  • Add verify CRC or MD5checkSUM of games being converted using your app.
  • Automatically choose the the folder games are converted to; maybe have individual folders setup for games converted over to disex and wbfs format like they the folder names they need to be in on your HDD. Maybe remember last folder games where converted to?
  • Possibility of split files if not already implemented.
Thank you scooby and for your consideration.

EDIT: How are files split when converting over to .WBFS? I do not like using my NTFS drive for storing games and I have no Dual Layered games ATM to test; only COD:BO resides on my PC.

COD:BO resulted in a 3.99GB file while this is O.K. for most games how will it fair against Dual Layered?

EDIT2: Great job BTW :P

Off Topic: Did they ever get the NTFS glitch fixed where you had to use a different ECHI?

@klyster

the split is at 4 gig using wbfs_file by oggzee

same one used by Wii BackupManager

dual layer games work great i have 5 0r 6 and they all worked when i was testing

i am not sure about the ntfs thing i dont really follow the filesystem stuff

@Patryc

thanks glad to here you like it it should be better on the next rev.

Extracted Soul Calibur 2 from it into SNEEK format with DML...

WORKS PERFECTLY HORRIBLY!

The audio and pretty much the whole game is fudged up, but that's likely due to DML or SNEEK not supporting it well.

Super Mario Sunshine appears to extract properly too, but crashes due to me having BootMii as IOS (not enough read speed form SD), so I can't say for certain whether it works or not.

hey scooby, i have found a bug: if i use "convert single .wbfs game file to Neek game file(Disc-Ex format)" and chose where to save the converted game, the game will always be extracted to a subfolder of WiiGameConverter_GXS (example: WiiGameConverter_GXS\SUPP01 )

"convert single .wbfs game file to .iso game file" > chose where to save the converted game works correctly.

Is it possible to make an option for "Convert single FST (discex format) to .wbfs format"?

Like this app! Is it possible to shrink gamecube images with sneek (discex) format?

I use this from my external usb hard drive and works fine.

Thank you; I really like the new setup. I know it's nothing much but I like the added stuff you used :P definitely switching now. A simple interface yet comprehensive at the same time.

Thank you again and good job :)
