Hello. I've been looking for something that another controller acts as a Wiimote for vWii and play games with it.

I know about Fakemote, but never tried it, because it requires installing IOSes and not sure if that's safely possible on the vWii side and if Wii games will work with it. Also when I looked up things it's mainly for 4 years ago, so I'm not even sure if there are way better programs.

Thanks.

there is no other way to simulate wiimote, just buy a 2nd-hand one. If you are in doubt for the genuineness, you can buy one without motion plus, then buy a motion plus adapter separately.

Fakemote is the only solution I'm aware of, and I don't like using it as it tends to stop working randomly. It's a shame, really... games like Mario Bros. Wii have such annoying control layouts.

(Edit: I just read your signature, ignore this) As an alternative, if you have a Wii, you can try RVLoader's built-in GC2Wiimote in order to map Wii Remote inputs to GameCube controller inputs. Don't install RVLoader as its main purpose is to enable using "portablized" Wiis with a lot of the motherboard intentionally cut to fit in small form factors, but you can run it without installation.

I believe there's no difference between Wii and vWii in this regard. There are unused IOS slots towards the end even if you install cIOS, so you can safely install Fakemote-patched cIOS there. And if it wasn't clear already, don't overwrite anything.

I already have a few. Just hate to use danged batteries...
If that's your problem, consider rechargeable Ni-MH AA batteries or a rechargeable Li-Ion battery cover for Wii Remotes.

Are signatures still a thing in forums? I don't see them. Mine must be really outdated. But seems people can see them? Ugh, I guess.
