Hi, I docked my switch (running game LA noire), and status monitor said: Resolution 1920x1080 || 960x540. It is confusing, so I asked Google, and Google AI says:
-1920x1080 (1080p): This is the maximum output resolution of Nintendo Switch when it's in docked mode.
- 960x540 (qHD): This is often the typical internal (rendering) resolution for games running in docked mode that are then upscaled by the system to 1080p for display on a TV. It is exactly one-quarter of a full HD (1080p) frame.
Is this correct? If yes, does it mean the dock is outputting 1920x1080 to the TV?
I have a 720p TV, and set Switch Settings/ TV settings/ TV resolution 720p. In docked mode, status monitor reads: 1920x1080 || 960x540, my TV says: Input Signal 720p. Does that mean the signal is downscaled from 1080 to 720p before output to the TV?
