Hello Since some updates the Tesla menu as well as Status Monitor finally nothing works on my switch Lite I do not understand where the problem comes from I have tried again several times to copy LED file in the right place etc but nothing does it still does not work. I wanted to go to 19.0.1 but still too young so I put back in 18.0.1 so ideas why nothing works at home?

Hello Guys. Is it possible to show only the TEMP and FPS on Status Overlay ???

Is there anyway to cuztomize it. ? thank you so much

EDIT: NVM found it on GIThub

1.1.8
1.1.8 version was released
  • Add support for SaltyNX 1.2.1+
    • Now it can read viewport resolutions from EGL and Vulkan games
  • Added font cache to lower impact on games performance (you can disable it in config.ini with key font_cache but it's not advised)
  • When there is only one resolution available to read, Full and Mini mode will print just one resolution instead of second being "0x0"

And SaltyNX 1.2.1 changelog
  • Add support for new generation of FPSLocker patches. This is done to add in the future support for 60+ Hz without issues in both docked and handheld. It's not backwards compatible with old patches. You must use FPSLocker 2.1.1 or newer and convert again configs to patches if you want them to work properly with this and next versions.
  • Fix an issue when playing in docked mode where disabling "Allow patches to force 60 Hz" still was delaying game before cutscenes in patches supporting this option like Yakuza or Xenoblade Chronicles 2, 3, X.
  • Fix an issue with newest Minecraft updates not being compatible with NX-FPS
  • Add support for reading viewport resolutions from EGL and Vulkan games
  • Small fix to reading resolutions from NVN

1.2.0 was released.

  • Redesign game informations in Full mode to match stylistically with hardware informations
  • Add information about game read speed in Full and Mini modes (for Mini mode you must add "READ" value to "show" key, more in docs and config template). Requires SaltyNX 1.4.0+ to work properly.
  • Fix FPS Graph not showing properly max FPS value if display refresh rate is 100 Hz or higher
  • Redesign sleep logic so now overlay has snappier reaction time

In action

1.2.2
1.2.2 version was released
  • Round FPS Average to PFPS if difference is in range +/- 0.25 (you can turn off rounding in config file), thanks to this we can minimize changes in FPS Average where some games are under constant changes while they provide in fact locked 60 FPS. For best results utilize always newest SaltyNX!
    • This wasn't utilized before because PFPS reading was too unstable so current solution would not work. In SaltyNX 1.4.0 was introduced a better way to measure PFPS without cheating which gives now much stable results for referencing.
  • Change optimization level from -O2 to -O3 for better performance at cost of slighly bigger overlay

Is it possible to have Status Monitor Overlay permanently enabled on the screen even when going back to the menu?

When I open the Ultrahand overlay menu it automatically disables the Status Monitor Overlay by default and I have to manually enable it again for it to show.

This can be bothersome when repeatedly going back and forward to the menu to test some other stuff.

No, two overlays can't run at the same time. That's how whole overlay environment is designed, it's not status monitor issue. This would require increasing reserved memory, managing which overlay has priority, etc. That would require someone to completely redesign how overlays interact with each other. And with 20.0.0+ sysmodule space being tiny it would block any other sysmodule from running.

How'm I supposed to read the resolution figures? Sometimes they say 1280x720 || 1920x1080 and sometimes they say 1920x1080 || 1280x720 in the same game. And sometimes one of the figures is super low, like 16x16.

One of it is correct. Learn visually how to distinguish which one is correct. Definitely you can see if your picture is 16x16 or not 🤣

And update SaltyNX. Newest version ignores such low resolutions like 16x16.

Sometimes it says 2048x2048... So weird

And it's hard to distinguish 720p and 1080p like that.

Well, for more informations you can go to Other -> Game Resolutions. It's not meant to be easy, but it's very helpful if you know where to look at + for modders to know if their resolution mod is working or not.

For example if that resolution is in handheld then I really doubt it's 1080p, games running at 1080p don't report 720p. If game runs 720p in docked then there is 99% of chance it runs lower res in handheld. Etc, etc. When you learn patterns, reading it becomes easy which can be confirmed by multiple modders using it. Since this stuff really depends on engine bullshittery, there is no good way to make it digestible for noobs.

Only by testing multiple games we have figured out a pattern where we take two most called resolutions and in 99% of cases one of them is correct.

Hi, I docked my switch (running game LA noire), and status monitor said: Resolution 1920x1080 || 960x540. It is confusing, so I asked Google, and Google AI says:
-1920x1080 (1080p): This is the maximum output resolution of Nintendo Switch when it's in docked mode.
- 960x540 (qHD): This is often the typical internal (rendering) resolution for games running in docked mode that are then upscaled by the system to 1080p for display on a TV. It is exactly one-quarter of a full HD (1080p) frame.
Is this correct? If yes, does it mean the dock is outputting 1920x1080 to the TV?

I have a 720p TV, and set Switch Settings/ TV settings/ TV resolution 720p. In docked mode, status monitor reads: 1920x1080 || 960x540, my TV says: Input Signal 720p. Does that mean the signal is downscaled from 1080 to 720p before output to the TV?

1. Those are two most called resolutions. You can get more informations in Other - > Game Resolutions, it's for user to decide which is which. Does it look so low res that you can believe it's 540p? Or maybe game is rendered at 1080p and 540p is just resolution of half res effects? You need little experience in figuring that out.
2. Yes, 99% of games don't look at your TV resolution. They are usually targeting 1080p output in docked mode, so it's downscaled in your case
