Another probably pointless but latest build, tested on 22.5.0
(Since this was built from the latest commits from November 25th 2025, it should fix rumble issues according to the commit messages?)

Side note for anyone wanting to compile this themselves: It's a BITCH to do.
You'll need
switch-zstd
switch-libwebp
switch-zlib
switch-libpng
switch-freetype
switch-curl
switch-harfbuzz
along with the meson build system for uam, which you then need to somehow configure duckstation to use.
Man, that's awesome.

Can I use textures to improve the graphics in this Switch version?

Scale2x and Scale3x, similar to xBRZ, are a compromise implementation on the performance-constrained Switch.

After adjusting the parameters, you need to toggle the aspect ratio. It's odd, but that's the only way for now.

First enable the background mask. The mask file name must match the ROM name (case‑sensitive). This feature doesn’t work well; I’ll revise it later when I have time.

I used the old stand alone version of duckstation in the past and it ran Metal Geat Solid great with multiple X upscale and didn't even need overclok.

Now I use Tico which I think uses Duckstation core but updated but the game visuals and audio stutter. Also takes extremely long to load new PS1 games.

Are there settings that used to be preset that I should change now? Is that the issue? The only other change is I am using .CHD files now. Not sure if that would have an impact on performance.

Edit: accidentally posted here instead of TICO thread
