Hi. I've been able to successfully pair my old PS4/PS3 controllers as a WiiU Pro controller.

IIRC you have to relaunch Bloopair every time you restart the WiiU in order to re-pair the controllers.

Is it possible via a plugin to make the WiiU remember the paired controller? so that you don't have to re-pair it each time.

Thank you.

The problem, at least with DS3s, is that if you pair the controller to some other device, you need to pair the controller back to the Wii U again.

If you have a Linux device nearby, you can use sixaxispairer to take note of Wii U's Bluetooth MAC address and change back to it without having to start Bloopair again with another controller.

Another way to work around this would be to use HID to VPAD (?), which lets you use the controller via USB, which lets you enter Bloopair pairing menu without using another controller.

All in all, DualShock controllers are fantastic to use with a Wii U as they're very versatile, and you can easily use them on many other systems and adaptors. I personally never had a Wii U Pro Controller, and I definitely won't be needing it in the future.

Thank you very much bros. I'm going to get a DS3 or DS4 controller dedicated to the Wii U (won't bind it to PS3/PS4).
Yes tbh I never liked WiiU Pro Controller.

I don't see a reason not to also use it with PS3/PS4 unless you find it too inconvenient using pairing utilities or going the route of HID to VPAD, as mentioned above.

Also, while the pairing tool I mentioned doesn't have builds available, there is another one written in Rust (I haven't tested it) that also has Windows builds if that was your concern, and you can find it here: sixaxis-pair_rs.

Thank you. I figured out it was my cheap PS4 controller, it wasn't genuine so it didn't work.
I've just tested a new DS4 controller and it works. It's paired using the Sync red button like a real Nintendo controller.

Just I noticed:
- Nintendon't doesn't work
- Any injected Wii game doesn't work
- Retroarch doesn't work

But I can happily play WiiU games that don't need gamepad functionality

Yeah, it being real or not is important. Have fun with your controller
