Both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 have received an official firmware update. System software version 20.4.0 has rolled out to consoles, and you'll never guess what Nintendo tweaked with this brand new update: "General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience." Scene dataminer OatmealDome looked into the new firmware, and discovered that for the Switch 1, the web browser was updated, alongside the controller-handling code, while the changes for the Switch 2's firmware are a bit more unclear. Currently, Nintendo's website only shows the update having released for those with Japanese consoles.

I must know your secret. I'll never update beyond 19.0.1 but would love to be able to play updates.

Catch:

Base game installs fine, but I get a lovely "Keymissingtitlekek" error on updates. googling it gives me zilch.

Always funny to watch people react to firmware updates, since if you're not someone with a homebrewed Switch, you wouldn't notice the difference.

Still on 19.0.1 and thanks to Sphaira I'm playing all the new games. Newest updates are also not a problem.
Still need to try that, as I’m not updating to 20.xx because of the issue with the changes to NS service, resulting in performance lags. Is there any drawbacks/issue with Sphaira?
