Americans should brace for massive upticks in food-borne illnesses, preventable diseases, and pandemics, as a man who enjoys contracting brain worms and literally swimming up shit's creek is set to functionally take over the CDC. First up on the agenda is banning the very same mRNA vaccines that Donald Trump tried to take credit for in his first term. mRNA treatments also showed promise in fighting against cancer. Per the second link, RFK Jr talks about the medical field and health science as if it's all based in magic and superstition, which will likely prove a convenient means of deflecting the blame away from the corporations who are poisoning both the planet and people as individuals. This is something which I'd consider a five-alarm fire, perhaps even more than the administration's attempts to dismantle and co-opt the Fed.

In other, tangentially related news: Donald Trump's health appears to be rapidly deteriorating. Large bruises have been repeatedly spotted on his hands, and his ankles are massively swollen, making it impossible for him to even walk a straight line. JD Vance today made some comments which seem like heavy foreshadowing. I didn't want to make this the headline story because I don't want to get anyone's hopes up too high, my own included, but it is noteworthy nonetheless. If Trump himself believes he is dying, it would certainly explain his push to implement project 2025's authoritarian agenda at breakneck speed.

Normally I avoid commenting on American politics because I'm not familiar enough with the subject to make an informed statement but this can be an exception. You don't put some hippie who uses 'pro-safety' as a guise to push his own agenda in charge of the health of a nation, or anybody.
