So I'm curious to anyone who has seen either or both of these new movies, did you like one better than the other? I was not 'super' pleased with either film, but I'm also a die-hard comic book fan from decades ago.
Anyone think this was the 'best' DC and Disney have to offer?
I enjoyed Superman. Gunn toningnerfing his powers down a little so he's not invincible to everything but green gravel was nice to see. And he actually bad personality this time around, which I haven't really seen before in a superman movie, so that was nice.
Really looking forward to Super Girl's movie, she was hilarious in the 4 seconds she was on screen.
I thought Superman was great, but I was really disappointed with F4. I don't have anything good to say about it other than the retro future aesthetic was well done.
I liked Krypto in Supes, they cast a real dog and not another tiny actor in a dog suit and got it right. The dog was the most entertaining part of the movie. I would watch a Krypto movie with Supes as a supporting character.

I watched both and while I like both, I highly prefer Superman. F4's last act feels really weak despite starting off strong. Superman on the other hand, pretty much sustained its momentum for me. Also can't wait for Supergirl. I've read the comic that her movie is going to be based on and I feel that they've gotten her character right despite the little screen time she had in this one.
That is true, I love those series, but they keep skirting the edge with woke. I don't care what your beliefs are, you have a right to them, but keep the preaching out of my entertainment.

I prefer Zach Snyder's DC versions of super heroes. Not all good, not all bad, somewhere in between, like most of humanity is...
