Hello! I've been reading GBATemp posts for the past few years and they've always been really helpful. Finally decided to register an account, so now I'm trying to increase my XP. I'm entering college as an Electrical Engineering major, which I'm hoping will be a lot of help in my future endeavors. I love modding consoles and devices, as I'm sure many on here do as well. I currently have a NES, a GBA SP, a DS Lite, two 3ds XL, a Wii, a Wii U, a Switch, an Xbox One, and more. Feel free to ask about what I'm working on- my family is sick of it!

Hey, thanks for asking! Right now I'm losing my mind spiraling down the rabbit hole of Wii U modding for the past month. I don't know how familiar you are with that, but currently I've been trying to manually change a main.dol IOS and then inject it as a Wii Virtual Console.

Don't know anything about the Wii U :P

But sounds like fun.
Getting things to work or do things they're not supposed is always a rewarding pass time.

I... don't play games lol, at least not as much anymore.
But when I do it's always Gameboy and SNES.
Yeah, lately I haven't even had time to enjoy my games. A couple months ago I was doing a lot with my gameboy games. Have you heard of the GB Operator by Epilogue? I had a bunch of old gameboy games with my childhood save data so I bought one and was able to extract the saves and roms to inject as a .cia on my 3ds. Now it's much easier toplay them and I don't have to worry about a battery dying or data corrupting!

Some parts are a pain that's true, but aside games inject the rest is just following the instruction
Yeah, a lot of posts on here could be solved if more people just followed instructions lol. I'm just annoyed trying to inject a game 11 different ways and not getting it to work

Honest reaction, that's pretty dope!

If I'm honest, it's been a long time since I last enjoyed playing games, last time I truly enjoyed playing a game was a long, long time ago, talking about decades.
It's why I've been trying to get rid of my consoles and the main reason why I don't spend time playing, because I no longer have fun.
I became a filthy casual! 😒

Nothing wrong with casual! And yes, the GB Operator was definitely worth it- it even has a built in emulator for you to play your cartridges straight to your computer.
