i cannot understand one thing... can someone explain it to me?
i don't get sigpatches. on "Sigpatches for Atmosphere (Hekate, fss0, fusee & package3)" thread it says "You can NO LONGER use OFFICIAL Atmosphere with signature patches. They're no longer supported.".
sigpatches from the link in this thread does not work at all? then why they even exist?
i am clearly missing something but cannot get what.

also: which one are better to use - the one from the thread above or from SHISE wiki on GitLab? i would check by myself but i am waiting for my switch, and at the meantime i try to educate myself :P

Hey all! Having an issue installing Kirby and the Forgotten Land on my sons switch. I have to do this because he ended up with the corrupted data issue after i updated atmosphere. I am able to install the same nsp/xci on my oled but when I try to do it on his, I either get the blank box with spinning icon via dbi/tinfoil or i get the "partial install" error on awoo or 2002-6400 (0x320002) on gold leaf. I am on 18.1.0/AMS1.7.1 on both switches. I tried installing the same file that works on my oled on both his sd card AND internal memory and the same issues occur. Do i reformat the sd card? not sure because internal memory gave the same error. It is only this game that the issue occurs. I have updated sig patches as well.

Edit: I just tried to install another game that was "corrupted" and got the same error. The other that had been erroring is working fine.

You can try by uninstalling that game, then going into settings/ Data management/ delete Save data. Select that game and select Delete all save data for this software. Then reinstall the game.

because the average person on here doesnt really know how this stuff works

Atmosphere doesn't not support signature patches anymore, it's fusee that doesn't load kip patches anymore

you dont need a unofficial build of atmosphere, you can just use hekate instead of fusee

es patches (exefs) just work regardless

you also dont need to care about kip patches if you only use properly signed eshop nsp

No dice. I just tried to install Bluey for him which was giving the issue of the block with spinning. I deleted the save data and the game itself from data management and it still does the same thing :/

I'd first copy sys-patch files to the SD card, and reboot Switch, if that still doesn't work, I'd try a different installer, like DBI or Tinwoo.

I need help getting USB 3.0 in atmosphere/homebrew.
DBI 658-en reports force enable USB 3.0 = no, and uses USB 2.0 on MTP responder.
Even when connecting USB at album app, windows shows its using USB 2.0, I suspect atmosphere is only using 2.0?

Im on atmosphere 1.8.0, FW 19.0.0. I use hekate 2.2.6 as bootloader.

I tried:

1. added usb30_force_enabled = u8!0x1 :
sdcard/atmosphere/config/system_settings.ini

2. added usb3force=1 to all bootmenus :
sdcard/bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini

The only thing i found online that I havent tried is to use a modified fusee.bin ? I am not sure where to get one.
Nothing works.

Thanks.

Havent used the switch since Tears of the Kingdom. Decided I wanted to try playing a Pokemon Game since havent done that forever. Tried to remember how to do that. I had tinfoil on my emunand, remembered thats what I used to download games. So googled it, and then redownloaded NUT to use with it. Downloaded Pokemon Violet xci to computer. Then opened up TInfoil, downloaded it to SD card, but noticed the home menu just shows an invisible empty box with the loading symbol on it.

Thought maybe I needed to update my Emunand (Think I remember years ago to never update the sysnand, just emunand, no idea if thats still true now or ever was). Think Im on emunand version 16, but it gave me an error when I tried to update it. Not sure if even updating emunand is even relevant.

How do I get the game icon to show on the home screen with the rest of the games downloaded to my SD card on emunand? Wouldnt be suprised if IM missing something else.

If my CFW is on Version 16.0, should I update it? What would SysNand? Regardless if yes or no, should I update signpatches?

Hey guys! first time on a forum so bear with me, anyways I bought this switch from a pawn shop for 90$ because it was 'broken" I knew it wasn't but honestly all I know is that it has CFW, what are my next steps? Do I format the SD card and start over from scratch or can I pick up where the previous owner left off? Also, I think it has a Modchip Installed Because when the Worker showed me the SD card there was a Spaceship with red text "No SD" on the screen. Small town so no local help unfortunately, I have tried to include as much details as possible.

In what world does "couple" mean more than 2? Answer.... none.
Not to go all dictionary on you, but if one is speaking informally, couple is loosely defined as an "indefinite small number". Say, if someone tells me they're "going to be a couple of hours", I don't get irate if they don't show up after two hours go by. On the other hand, I don't know anyone who refers to the quantity two as a "couple" when they are not speaking about people. So if someone tells me "a couple of hours", that could be anything from one to six, at least in my mind.

If it was like a premade pack like HATS then yes, official one doesn't come with it.
I see, thanks!

Since I got "No main boot entries found.. check that bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini..." problem in the Hekate "Launch"-option, does my hekate_ipl.ini file look correct?

[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=3
backlight=100
noticker=0
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=0
bootprotect=0

Should the hekate_ipl.ini in the bootloader be the same as the hekate_ipl.ini in the bootloader/ini folder?

[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=0
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=1
backlight=100

[CFW - sysMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
kip1patch=nosigchk
atmosphere=1
emummc_force_disable=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[CFW - emuMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
kip1patch=nosigchk
emummcforce=1
atmosphere=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[Stock - sysMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
emummc_force_disable=1
stock=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_switch.bmp

The firmware is 18.1.0, with latest Hekate and Atmosphere.
