in my humble opinion, this new version of WiiStation 2.4 (v.7a) so far is the definitive one, it has compatibility with some games again (jarrett and labonte for example) and high performance in terms of fps, only Tekken 3 and dead or Alive are oscillating at 50 fps, I tested my list of games to exhaustion
Thank's @Jokippo and @xjsxjs197 for hard work

How big is your game list just out of curiosity, because i only run from USB 32GB because thats the best my wii mini can run this emulators, while my other Wii coughs around this while running everything else just fine.

Oh, and most of the Card Captor Sakura games minus Animetic Story Game, STILL wont buldge

my list must be around 70 games (1tb hdd) or a little more
I need to download more games to test

I tried Disney Treasure Planet again and now as soon as I start the game it crashes

And another thing to say, I have noticed that in some games the text or the game interface looks cropped if the tv is set to 16:9 but it only happens in PAL games, in NTSC they appear full.
I suppose that the correct thing would be to adjust them to their screen format which is 4:3.

Final Fantasy VIII launches bios but then goes to black screen infinitely

Strange 🤔
Don't know for the NTSC version, but the PAL-FR one works perfectly fine for me (with the 4 discs (.bin) patched with ppf files, to bypass ap-protection. It seems that SBI files are not working with this emulator, so ppf patches are the way to go. Without doing that, yeah, I had infinite black screen issue too.).

the game Koudelka improved but still needs more improvement, initial fmv crashes, Final Fantasy VIII launches bios but then goes to black screen infinitely also Wiistation still doesn't support rumble my NGC controller
PAL version of FF VIII needs a fix to make it work because it has AP protection.

" Rename ¨wiistation_ver2.4¨ folder in apps to ¨wiistation¨ "

Already tried that and for some reason, it make my Wii freeze.
Works for me

Back with some updates, current build - 2.4v7a (current lightrec)

Pac Man World
- Works, full speed, but has some sound mixing issues, music barely is hearable in main gameplay

Battle Arena Toshinden 3 - Works, full speed, both modes (30/60fps) but ending credits music doesnt play up until the Input your Initials parts.

Kamen Rider - Works, full speed including menus, but not all channels are heard now? before that seemed fine.

Pocket Fighter - Works, Full Speed, but all audio samples play at a lower pitch then real hardware and Arcade, (just recently found out).

Animetic Story Game Card Captor Sakura - Works, Full speed, but audio samples still seem trimmed a little from the beginning and FMVs still dont play with proper colors.

Card Captor Sakura Clow Card Magic - Still Doesn't Work, Black Screen.

Tetris with Card Captor Sakura - STILL Doesn't Work, locks on warn screen.

Shaman King Spirit of Shamans - STILL Doesn't Work, glitches out after 1st fight, any mode, black screen with Manta's voice line then garbled audio.

Transformers Beast Wars Transmetals - Works even Less!, Now the damn thing locks after the intro FMV, before at least used to play up until the VS load screen.

Sexy Parodius - Works, Full Speed, but there's one seemingly huge issue with this one, the graphics scaling, for some odd reason, game doesn't scale well into the emulator, as in, by default, the graphics look badly scaled, mixel galore and shimmering, and moving the screen on the options menu doesn't help much, whatever is Arcade or Full screen mode.

This is the only time i activate Trap Filter with seems to ''minimize'' the issue, of course at 240p, because at 480i looks to blurry.

I boot it up on RetroArch Beetle PSX to compare and sure enough, no issues there.

Most of the FF PAL region have AP protection in all languages, you must patch it with its corresponding fix.
Yes I know it, but it was not needed some versions ago (can't remember which one), so I find it weird that now we need to patch the game

Einhander: Game works perfect, but crashes during the demo

Gran Turismo: Works good.. 59 FPS, occasionally dropping to 49 for brief instants

Good morning everyone.

I just wanted to say to anyone involved in this project how marvellous the PS1 emulation on Wii has become!

R-Type used to run around 45 fps, but now it's totally playable, same for Megaman 8 and, quite frankly, any game I have tried!

Just a little question : I was under the impression you could use the classic controller (which ressembles the PS1 controller much more than my GC controller), but all I seem to be able to select is the combo Wiimote+nunchuk? Am I doing something wrong?

Anyway, for someone who had skipped this generation almost entirely back in the days, it's really exciting to discover some of these games in such optimal conditions!

Thank you so much for this!

Yours truly.

1 TB HDD, how do you manage to get yours not to fuck up with the loop click of death?

I got a 2 TB one, 479 games, 263gb of it

USA - 262
EUR - 28
JPN - 145
PT-BR - 31
SOUTH KOREA - 1 (does anybody know Maniac Game Girl?)
INTERACTIVE CD SAMPLER - all of them (don't ask me why I have those)

I'm really commited to test the sh!t out of this emulator and I love the fact that all people here are really helping!

About the loop click, fortunately I never had this type of problem with any of my HDD's, which usually are all from Seagate.
