Hello,

I recently purchased an unpatched switch and things were working fine but one day when I powered it on from suspended state to continue playing totk, after 2 seconds it immediately shutdown and I couldn't boot. Now when I send payloads the screen works for 2 seconds before glitching, freezing and/or going black.

Could I have some guide on what to do here? What even happened? I was playing casually the other day.

Thank you!
Happened to me months ago, it was my microSD, mine got corrupted seconds after launching Sonic Colors Ultimate, so I bought a new one.

It can be your (possibly fake) microSD, maybe just got corrupted.

Apologies in advance for this noob question but here is my situation

Bought a switch approximately in 2019 and modded it to use SXOS

Played for sometime and since then its sitting in my drawer

Thinking of resurrecting it again but not sure what should I do to play latest games, I mean I read SXOs is kinda dead and atmosphere is the thing now.

I had taken full memory backup when I was modding for SXOS but lost the sdcard with the backup

What are my.options ? Can I migrate to Atmosphere and play games without getting banned ?

Thanks in advance !!

Recently bought switch oled and updated it to 16.0.3, will I still be able to get it modded with hwfly and play backup games?
Worried the update might not allow the mod to work

The only way to play the latest games is via Atmosphere which you can setup by following this guide. Avoiding a ban however is tricky. Unless you have a clean eMMC backup made before ever running any CFW or homebrew, you will risk a ban if you connect your console online.

The modchip exploits the specific hardware of the console. There is no way to patch out the modchip, especially with a firmware update.

What's the best/preferred tool to split a large .nsp file into multiple files?

I usually use DBI MTP responder, but I have a Switch that refuses to connect to my PC. It also seems like DBI has removed the FTP mode from the latest version.

Question about game updates:

I have base game and installed patch 1.1.0
Patch is released 1.1.1
Patch is released 1.1.2

Can I just install patch 1.1.2, as it will include all patches of 1.1.1?
Or do I need to install both patches in order?

Thanks!

You can just install the latest (1.1.2)

Based on anyone's experience here is it safe to use ReverseNX while playing an owned game online?

where are you installing nsp files from if you have no pc?

Finally installed an NSP in emummc to try it out.

Since my emummc was cloned from my OFW, if I launch a game using my profile, it gives me an internet error, then I cancel and then select Start Software then get an error 2002-1002 and back to home screen.

I created a new profile and it will run the game after selecting start software no problem.

Two questions.

Is there a way to get it to run in my original profile?

If I use the new profile, is there a way to transfer my save games over from my OFW legit profile and have them work in the new offline profile?

Switch army knife tool

Partners tempers, does anybody knows a method to launch the original golf easter egg of first switch firmwares on Latest firmware?

Hi. If I use DBI MTP responder (microSD install) on my emummc to install an nsp, does it install the same nsp on my sysnand or is it only on my emummc?

You can try adding these patches to your SD card to launch the game. As for moving the save data, you can use either JKSV or Checkpoint.
Can I play games with local multyplayer like AC:NH or MK8 with other people who don't have a modded switch?

Also if I go back to OFW and download my legitimately bought copy of AC:NH, can I then also play it on emuMMC? or are additional steps needed?
I don't see why you wouldn't be able to play local multiplayer with those games with people who don't have a modded console. Also, your second question doesn't make sense. OFW is a mode and emuMMC is a system. In other words, booting OFW doesn't mean you're booting another system but booting emuMMC means you're booting another system.

Is there some way to stop the switch from asking for updates? I "accidentally" (purposely) banned my switch, but my games keep asking for updates. And when I DO try to update it, I get the good ol temporary but not really ban message. I have another switch that can connect to the internet to get updates for my games, but it's kinda a hassle to keep having to "Compare software version with local users".

Hi all, here trying to install a RP2040 Zero on a Lite.

I was trying to remove the C connector and broke some of the tracks came stuck with the connector (see images).

Can this impact the functionality of the RP2040 and I need to discard this one? Or can I still use it?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi everyone,
Yesterday I dropped my mariko switch in a dude i found out can install picofly on it. I am currently digging in the switch's scene and I have some very noob doubts.
  • Is there any guide on what to do and what not to do once you start setting up the SD? I found the HATS github repository but I don't know if that is the way to go.
  • I saw there are two file formats for backups. Is one simply better than the other or this depends on games, SD, or something else?
  • I understand it's not possible to play backup games online (f.e. Pokemon Sword) if you don't want to get your switch banned, is this right?
  • Is it still safe to play cartidge and eshop bought games?

Thank you all!

Not too long ago I update atmosphere and firmware and haven't had issues. My boy was playing and said he accidentally pushed the x or y button while playing Mario party which caused the following error to show up (error 2002-4364 0x221802). I can't add an image so I shared a link from Google photos to see the error

https://photos.app.goo.gl/yy9PXh3vxS7WRZ8T6

I read that some people say to delete a folder under the contents folder of atmosphere, but mine does not have a contents folder to delete. From what I have read, it seems to be related to a corrupt save. Would this imply that the specific Mario party save is the culprit? I'm really hoping that my atmosphere itself is salvageable (including my Zelda saves!)

I can boot into Hekate to select the boot. Stock system boots up fine. Atmosphere continually gives the error. Can anybody get me back on track?

I should add that I don't have any themes. I also used save extract and think I was able to pull out all my saves, including my Zelda saves. Not sure if there is a way to navigate using TegraExplorer and delete the Mario Party save if that might be the culprit?

1. I wouldn't trust a pre-made pack too much. You'd be better off doing it by yourself. I recommend checking out this guide.
2. XCI= cartridge dump NSP=eShop dump. Both kinds install just fine. There are also xcz and nsz files around, which are just the compressed versions.
3. Yes, this is right. No pirated games should be installed on sysNAND if you want to play online. Play your pirated games on emuNAND, and offline.
4. Should be safe playing them on sysNAND as long as it's clean (see #3).
