So this probably has an obvious answer, but I haven't been able to find it.

What should I be using to play retail GameCube games, from the disc, with .gct cheats added? Gecko OS doesn't seem to apply the cheats.

If possible, I could use a quick refresher on the whole process, including the cheat file conversion. I think I did that part correctly but I might have some outdated apps or folder structure.

Hi all,

I just got into the homebrew scene with my Wii and am loving it - I was thinking about picking up a Nintendo handheld to mod as well. What's your opinion on the available homebrew for a DSi vs the 3DS? Is it worth shelling out a bit more for the more powerful model or are the available software and abilities about the same? Thanks!

Is there a way to batch rename title ids for wad files i have a bunch of virtual console injects and most of them have the same title id and they are overwriting each other when i install them to emunand?

Hi all.
Just found a old Wii in my office. It is RVL-001 (KOR) version, comes with Chinese interface and a HDD driver attached. And there are different simmulators (GameCube, bla bla) in the main menu. Does it mean that the old Wii was modded? And how can I flash it to get English interface? Sadly, there is no option for switching language in the main menu. I am new with console, so any help/advice will be much appreciated.

Use modmii to softmod the console, either its main wizard or syscheck update wizard

Then use the region change wizard

Then use the usb-loader setup wizard, unless u had done that already as part of the main wizard
Thanks, I will try modmii later. Are there any tuts for the steps above? So afraid of bricking the device ^^

Sorry to bump but it's been a week.

Yeah, open them with modmii (or show mii wads)
Showmiiwads will only let me change the title id one wad at a time and i dropped my folder with my injects into modmii and it wont give me the option to batch rename title id of wads if i load one wad at a time into modmii it gives me the option to change title id i guess i will just change them one at a time the cool thing about modmii i noticed is you can unpack as many wads as you want at once by just dropping your folder with your wads into modmii that is handy feature thanks for your help modmii rocks.

I missed the part about batch renaming
It could be done using a script, but how would you want them named?

Im using two emunands one for wiiware and virtual console and one for injects it doesnt really matter how they are named to me as long as they dont overwrite each other but other users probably will im not sure how to name them maybe anything thats not an officail title id.

There is some adapter for GameCube controller?
My wii is the rvl-101
There's the one made for the Wii U, not sure if it works with Wiis tho.
Fyi, you can play GC through Nintendont with other controllers, like Wii Classic Controller, and even DS3 & DS4 (with Bluetooth adapters) etc..

First, make sure you're using this version of usbloadergx.

Are you using a usb flash drive, external hdd or an sd card to launch the game?
Is it formatted as Fat32 32kb cluster size? And is it plugged in port 0?
Also, check the hash of the game in WiiBackupManager, to make sure the wbfs file is not corrupt.
