@SashimiProMax what shells do you have in mind because that eXtremeRate are a bit overpriced, especially since they required some diy skills to fit them perfectly and the buttons are ehkhm cheap and wobbly.
Don't get me wrong they are still not so bad. They send me a replacement after i point them some issues, but i received the same faulty parts that i need to sand off in some places before putting it all together : /

Yeah I love my eXtremeRate shell but the top doesn't quite fit snuggly and it creaks with a gap.

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah ExtremeRate is the current plan because I've gotta have my atomic purple but if there is another game in town with that offering I'm not married. I assumed some finagling was going be required but now I know I'll need to steal my partner's nail files ahead of time.

That's what I did. You'll need something like a craft knife to shave down the extra plastic on the buttons (they come attached to a plastic frame, like a gundam kit) and if you're doing the whole console, make sure you watch all of the video on their site, I didn't watch it all and missed having to transfer the speaker mesh over so I had to tear it down a second time

Amazing, thanks for the tips. I'll be sure to do that. Do you know if the shell is compatible with official buttons? GBC's Atomic Purple came with dark grey buttons so was thinking of going that route.

The shell is compatible with the standard everything, pretty much. Mine is all mix and match buttons and sticks and covers.

The “soft touch” to the shell replacements are rubber like. Silicone-ish. Plasti-dip, probably. With no protective finish. I’ve had my set for a couple of years. The texture started peeling off. I went back to the stock ones. I’m pretty light on my stuff, but kids also play on my switch. Maybe these would’ve lasted twice as long, if it weee just me playing. I might just try to pull the entire skin off, so I can use the Dpad again. I like the plus dpad better. You should be fine, as long as you don’t get one with a design.

i installed these in my all black metal joy cons. works nearly flawless until i purposely tried to look for the "click + snap to the right". it only happens on my right analog stick when moving to the right, it doesn't happen anywhere else or with the left stick. and awkwardly, it doesn't happen ALL the time, just most of the time.

My original only joy-cons are still perfect cause I barely used my Switch since 2018, but I have recently put some good hours of use and eventually they will be kaput...

Ps: what about amazon.es to Portugal, can't it be bought from the official seller from there? I have only been buying stuff from ".es" and only bought 1 single item from ".com" USA...

There is no Amazon.pt. Portuguese always buy from Amazon.es

Out of curiosity, decided to investigate this:
I can buy it from Amazon.co.uk, plus shipping, at 67 euros (honestly, I thought these were a bit overpriced already at 57 euros)
Spain doesn't ship it to Portugal anymore
France doesn't ship it to Portugal anymore
Germany doesn't ship it to Portugal anymore
Italy doesn't seem to sell it at all

Usually I can buy anything from anywhere, as long as I pay shipping. Being an Amazon Prime subscriber, Amazon.es (Spain) is the designated Amazon for Portugal, and shipping is free. Aknes had to specifically block Portugal from the authorized shipping addresses, otherwise it would work - as it did, when I bought the first pack of 4, from Aknes, at Amazon.es.
