I mean when you press + button on dongle like attached video. Which color of LED is flashing? If not flashing, your inner battery is dead, and have to disassemble is to replace a new one (quite easy).

------------------------------------------

EDIT1: Agreed with Coach
It does not do that. Is there any substitute? Can I use Windows or Mac to substitute the RCMLoader?
I assume I have to buy the battery on aliexpress?

I think this kind of Lipo battery is fairly easy to find in local. If not, you can buy them on aliexpress, but it will take a long time to arrive and maybe will miss your holiday.

It will be listed in your /bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini

E: if you put it in place but aren’t using it…it will do, well, nothing. And you will have completely WASTED 30 seconds of your life (so just go ahead and pull it down and put it in /bootloader/payloads/ ). ;-)
Ok in a bit of trouble i think.

I followed everything bar backing up but now whenI try to inject payload.bin using tegra boot.din error comes up on switch screen. Any ideas why?

Here’s what I follow:

https://rentry.org/UpdateCFWAndFW
(I do something slightly different on firmware…see below)

1)
Download latest Atmosphere, Hekate, Sigpatches

2)
Move(rename) /atmosphere to /atmosphere.bk
Move(rename) /bootloader to /bootloader.bk

3)
Unzip everything at top of SDCard.

4)
Download fusee.bin and place in /bootloader/payloads/

5)
Copy /bootloader.bk/hekate_ipl.ini to /bootloader/

6)
Reboot and make sure everything works (before continuing to next step)

7)
Look for Darthsternie Firmware somewhere on the internet. (This is the different thing I was mentioning above.)

8)
Fire up daybreak.nro and point it at the unzipped firmware from above to finish FW upgrade of emunand.

9)
Adult beverages?

7) There are a few firmwares avaiable, is it safe to to be going for the latest one?

Yes. 15.0.1 is stable. Make sure you’re on latest Atmosphere first though.

CFW first
FW last

SO, I just updated my emuMMC to the latest firmware and now it wont boot, the screen stays black after the Nintendo Switch logo, Any idea why that happened? I am sure I am on latest Atmosphere and Fusee

Backup and remove the SD:/atmosphere/contents folder from your SD card and try again

Hummm. That's weird try to copy latest sigpatches to the root if SD card

By the way, which filesystem is your SDcard?

Which app did you use to update the firmware?

Remember to update hekate and Atmosphère too
as far as I know they are up to date, and everytime I "find" a solution, it works once but if I go out it doesn't boot again.

edit:
So if I used hekate_ipl.ini;

[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=3
backlight=100
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=0
bootprotect=0

[Atmosphere CFW]
payload=bootloader/payloads/fusee.bin
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[Stock SysNAND]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
stock=1
emummc_force_disable=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_switch.bmp

it will work once and never again and then if I change it to:

[config]
autoboot=0
autoboot_list=0
bootwait=0
autohosoff=0
autonogc=1
updater2p=1
backlight=100

[CFW - sysMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
kip1patch=nosigchk
atmosphere=1
emummc_force_disable=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[CFW - emuMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
kip1patch=nosigchk
emummcforce=1
atmosphere=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_payload.bmp

[Stock - sysMMC]
fss0=atmosphere/package3
emummc_force_disable=1
stock=1
icon=bootloader/res/icon_switch.bmp

it will work again but only once again, so it seems that I need to change this file every time I boot it.

Any ideas?

Black screen with Nintendo logo for a few seconds then an errror

Is there a fix ?

I am also on 14.1.1 is it worth upgrading ? Is there sigpatches

I would highly recommend switching to another installer such as TinWoo Installer. Its what I personally use and I never have any issues while using it. Once you do that, try downloading it from another source. Its possible the source you got it from was bad.
