I am going to call the ZX Spectrum Vega The ZXSV for short so I don't need to keep typing it.. :)
I noticed there is no support for The ZXSV, it lasted about a year(2015 to 2016, Released on 24 of April, 2015),cause of the ZX Vega Plus, the 2 consoles should not be connected to each other,One is a based on a ZX Spectrum and the other isn't, The ZXSV was a hit,its not its fault its RCL and bad management. ZX Vega+ should of never been made, well it wasn't in a way,its only a prototype that some people got,was it a scam but it wouldn't make scene it was cause of ZXSV was a good product.
If the console is good and it ends up on ebay then I buy it. TheC64 Mini I pre-ordered from Game not Indiegogog,I would never use them,I have used Kickstarter.(The Pinball Arcade and the Terminator 2 Table For PS Vita and PS3 and Shenmue 3, Can't wait for that game.. :) )

So I am going to post all the sites I can find and documents on it, RGL (Retro Games LTD) used the key mapping from the The ZXSV on TheC64 Mini. RCL was run originally by Paul Andrews and Chris Smith of RGL,They left the company to make TheC64, they had to come back to sort out the mess and lies David Levy made,he should never ever run another company again, and he was appointed by Clive Sinclair..??? anyway enough of RCL. You properly know the story by now.

Back to the ZXSV.. :)

Here is a picture of the insides of the ZXSV.

The IC top middle of the picture looks like the one thats inside TheC64 Joystick,I don't know if it is, maybe someone with more know how could answer that.Looking at its traces coming from the IC on it right side of it looks like it goes to the other side of the board where the dpad and buttons are so it could use a USB IC. You could add a Joystick to this.I don't like using the case as a controller,it should of had a joystick with it or away of adding one,no one used a GamePad with a ZX Spectrum, only on the Amstrad E3 Emailer that had a Gamepad, it was called GP1, you could connect a GP1 to the ZXSV, it has all the buttons you need,it could be modded.

Its a shame the Menu on the ZXSV is just text based but its cause it has 1000 games built in,I would of liked a better menu and less games.

I got mine from ebay for £35, it just don't have a box or manual but works fine :), it goes for about £50 to £100 on there with a box, but it depends on the seller,it just about worth £50 in my eyes. Shame it don't have a keyboard and can't connect one.I wounder if it could be modded to be able to add one.??

I might make a Wiki for it too,we will see.. :)

Here is the first link, its the main website about info on the ZXSV,the site is no more but Way-back Machine is handy for this.. :)
This is it in 2015 before the ZXSV launch date----> https://web.archive.org/web/20150104203419/http://www.retro-computers.co.uk/
This is it after launch date and info about it ----> https://web.archive.org/web/20160105025157/http://retro-computers.co.uk/vega

Here is a video showing you how to make a .ZXK files to map the keys in a game.

Hey. I'm having a problem with mine. The power light turns on and off but only after I try to play certain games. The games freeze when this happens. Other games (the more simple adventure type) play fine. I tried different USB plugs, whenever I try a new one the games work for a few extra minutes then the same thing happens again. Have you seen this issue? Is there a solution? Thanks.
