Hacking zadig doesn't find the switch

It won't find the Nintendo switch I need the drivers for, help?

Put in RCM mode then it should pop up as APX device but with missing/incorrect drivers.

What is your method for entering rcm?

Are you sure your switch is in RCM mode? If it isn't then it wont recognise it i believe.

i boot into rcm with a tinfoil bridging pin 9 and 10, i know its in rcm because it won't show the boot logo, and if I press power again it wont do anything and have to preds it for 10 seconds (exit rcm)

Had the same problem here.

Turn your switch normally on. Connect the USB C cable to pc. I assume you have Windows 10? Then you should here the typical device detected sound. Wait untill Windows "installed" switch drivers.

The readme file was super helpful to me.

Turn off the switch. No go RCM Mode. After that connect to USB C. You should now hear that Windows Device connected sound from Windows.

Now follow that:

Driver setup
1. Get your Switch into RCM mode and plug it into your Windows PC.
2. Download and run Zadig driver installer from https://zadig.akeo.ie/
3. From the device list, choose APX (if it's not showing up in the list, go to Options menu and check List All Devices)
4. For the driver type, cycle the arrows until you see libusbK (v3.0.7.0) in the text box (IMPORTANT!)
5. Click the big Install Driver button. Device manager should now show "APX" under libusbK USB Devices tree item.

PS: Did also the "thinfoil Thing" and it worked perfectly

my pc has win 10... my switch charges but no sound... win dont reconize it

I tried it first with a shitty usb-c cable and it did not work.
After I tried a better quality one it worked.

Put your Switch with usb-c to Windows. start Zadig go to options and "List All Deviced". Does it show up? as APX (only in RCM Mode) or as "Switch" in charging Mode?

Have you installed the correct drivers for the APX device? It have to show up as APX.

After that drag the payload.bin into the TegraSmash Icon/exe and the menu should show up on your switch.

I have to use payload.bin? Do I have to rename it that? which payload do I use?

Even if you want a nand dump... to open up the "menu" on your switch - even for dumping. You HAVE to inject the payload over TegraSmash...
Or your screen just stay black.

Then you will get a Menu like this:

You can "Launch firmware" or what you want "Tools" and Backup Nand etc.

ps: you navigate in this menu with "VOLUME + & VOLUME -" for up and down, and press Enter with "ON/OFF Button"

Yo, sorry for posting on an old thread. But i have the issue where it doesnt show for zadig but works on tegrasmash. Im trying to be able to use goldtree with gold leaf but it doesnt seem to show up. Am i supposed to reverse the process and change the driver?
