Agreed! I also have all my nsp files on an external drive. This project is really an improvement that we can look forward to, but it's not the holy grail (xci loading) that users secretly wish for.Although I can't deny that I would be pretty happy if
would be a thing in Atmo. Many people have their NSP collection on an external drive anyway so plugging that in to install from there would be cool.
- installing NSPs (and even XCIs?) from USB
and
- having homebrews (especially RetroArch + roms)

what's is usb HDD support in regards to nsps? will we be able to install nsp's to an HDD? or does it just means you can put nsp's on an HDD and installs to the sd card?your post is pointless

oh ok. I forget people not using sx-os still can't do that.with some editing, you answered your own question.

The ability to install xci or nsp directly via a usb hdd without the need of a nut server will be the final nail in the coffin for sxos on my switch!
Thank you!
you do realise you can already do that with SX OS as well, right?
I'm not seeing the point of migrating away from a product you paid for, which is still supported and has all the features you want? If it were an unsupported product and there were newer firmware which didn't work on it, then that would make sense.. other wise? derp?
I find that sxos crashes a hell of alot compared to atmosphere and the ability to overclock is a big thing for me. I like to tinker with my switch, atmosphere is better for all round homebrew were as sxos is great if you just want to play backup cough "pirate" cough games..
I think it's more the fact that the code base isn't as current as what the latest atmosphere is...fair enough.. I've seen the ''sx crashes'' a few times (actually mostly from people in South America) - while I've never experienced it myself. I do wonder if maybe it's an SD card stability thing?
