I'm guessing @Eiffel2018's waiting for the final update, 2.2.0, before updating...not sure why we need to wait until Jan 2024 -four months away from now - for some plastic models and a relatively-minor update that only adds the "Leisure" cosmetics and unlocks two already-present outfits.

Beggars can't be choosers, and you know there is always a way to just ignore them.
If they won't update the cheats, then please respect them. They might have lose interest in this game or just couldn't do it for some reasons. Just be grateful with the available cheats, or you may find another cheats in chinese forum, else learn how to make it.
I do agree with what you wrote, but the problem with Chinese cheats is that they need translation - and sometimes, the result doesn't make sense. Plus, the language barrier (and the Firewall of China barrier) prohibits asking that author what some codes actually do.
For example, in regards to XC3, there's a cheat that translates to "Automatic Response" - what does that do? What does it mean by 'response'? Or how about "Mark transmission lines"? Or "No materials required when retrofitting X device"?
Chinese cheats would be a fine substitute, if there was an accurate translator available.
Yes, I experienced the same problem. sometimes it's hard to understand what the cheats do, usually I just use ChatGPT or something similar to make sense of it, unfortunately it's still hit or miss.
Having that issue right now. Translations that make no sense and, my current issue, the "damage x2, x4 , x8" chinese cheats crash the game upon activation -_-
I might downgrade just to have working cheats.

Having stable working cheats feels good.

I would've stayed on 2.0.0, if I hadn't found this Ultimate Rebalance Mod, which is only for 2.1.0 and 2.1.1...
The members only tool also doesn't work with quite a few of Eiffel's codes, so using that to try to update them is a no-go.

The only things really added in updates after than are post-game only cosmetic items.
That's easier said then done cause I have no idea how to downgrade the game cause mine is on 2.1.1 lol

Not sure about on Switch hardware, but in an emulator you just install the update you want to use, and it should upgrade or downgrade as needed automatically. Ryujinx even has a little menu that lets you select which you want to use if you have multiple installed.
As far as I know, Xeno 3 emulation is still spotty; it's not well-optimised yet, on Ryujinx at least (don't know about Yuzu, but that emulator doesn't seem as 'complete' as Ryu).
For example, I myself have had major graphical issues at times, and there's a slew of other people having issues listed on the members only .
So...yeah, I wouldn't recommend emulating this game quite yet. Kinda has to be on-console to be playable, and downgrading on it isn't the easiest process, afaik.
Yuzu is better than Ryujinx for Xenogears 3 emulation. By a good margin last I checked Ryujinx performance. That said, your performance on either is kinda hardware dependent.
With an AMD GPU you'll have more issues, notably with Vulkan in the Pentalas region (vertex explosions for days), so for that area you'll need to switch to OpenGL (and possibly OpenGL in Ryujinx).
With an Nvidia GPU you likely won't have that issue in Pentalas, and can play through the whole game in Vulkan with very few issues (that said, at least one user has reported still getting the vertex explosions in Pentalas on an Nvdia GPU, but after my upgrade from an AMD RX 480 to a Nvidia RTX 3060, I never got a single vertex explosion in Pentalas).
I'd recommend using Yuzu EA build 3352, as the newer ones have a weird graphical glitch when using the Emu Scaler Enabler to render at higher resolutions, and I was able to get through the entire game with no real issues on that build (that build is confirmed to clear up said graphical glitching for others).
I've already beaten it, I waited until I had gotten 3 and then did a playthrough of 1 and 2 so that the story would still be fresh in my mind
