Homebrew PS1/2 Xenoaga Episode I not loading areas correctly

So, been enjoying my ps2 with fmcb1.966 for a while now and have gotten around to playing Xenosaga. One very big issue, spoiler ahead so gonna mark it. Proto Merkabah just isnt loading and its super annoying. for a bit of info, im using opl 1.2.0 beta2063 (pretty sure its the latest release) on a scph-70003 slim model. games are loaded via usb stick.

i cant get onto ps2 home, so i hope here can offer a bit of help, any is greatly appreciated!

    Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
