Hope we get the new update soon, the other day I was playing online just fine but now for whatever reason it ask me to update.
Thats because Nintendo has a grace period that only allows you to play online with old firmware for like a week. However, it is safe to update your OFW Sysnand, as long as you don't update your CFW Emunand. At least on unpatched RCM consoles, SX Core/Lite chips may be different. If you use CFW online with legit XCI or whatever like I do then you will have to wait unfortunately.

I just wish they'd pull their thumb out of their ass and release a version for the latest firmware. Atmosphere did it quite a few days ago so there are really very few excuses at this point.
I guess what I don't understand and what scares me is that a huge main firmware update (10.2.0 to 11.0.0) came out and SX had an update in a couple days, no problem, and then a tiny update comes out (11.0.0 to 11.0.1) and its been like a week and a half. That's what makes me think maybe something happened.

Also, with XCI mounting, some people like me use legit XCI backups with certificates to play the games on their Sysnand when they are out and about with no internet/stealth mode/90DNS and then have their save files and everything in sync when they want to play online at home when using the physical cartridge. If I were to use atmosphere and install these XCI files, I would most likely get banned. Mounting XCI with legit certs while offline and using the same real cartridge with the same cert while online is alot harder for Nintendo to detect.

The 360 scene was excellent. Virtually nothing was kept behind a pay wall if you had the right skill or desire to learn.

The PS3 scene on the other hand was an abomination until quite recently.[/QUOTE]

The reason is simple.. its not needed.. there is no game that ask for it.. why bother.. you yourself said it.. minor update..

Read the last paragraph in my post. I use legit XCI backups while not home offline so I don't need to bring a bunch of cartridges, and use the actual cartridges at home online. So without an SX update, I either can't use my backups, or can't play online.

Use sysnand updated and play your legit games ????.. use emunand to use xci ???..

This. You can even install all of your .xci files and play them with Atmosphere/hekate.

You guys are not understanding me. My XCI are backups of my legit games. They are not pirated. When I am out and about offline, I use my XCI backups. When I am home and connected to the Internet I use my physical cartridges. If I used Emunand, I wouldn't be using the same save files, and the saves wouldn't be uploaded to the save data cloud. I would have to constantly use checkpoint to transfer the save files back and forth. Mounting XCI with legit certs on your Sysnand that you use online is pretty safe. Installing legit XCI is not safe and is a definite ban, even if the XCI is a legit backup because the certificate is for a cartridge game, if its installed Nintendo would know its obviously not from the eshop.

I do understand what you are saying though, I do have an Emunand for all of my NSP games as well which I keep off Nintendo servers, which works fine with Atmosphere, But this system doesn't work for games that I want to be able to play online.

With everyone's cat constantly updating their firmware, not to mention potential new customers who had zero reason to not update, TX ought to put that update out ASAP if they still want a business.

Lol immediately? Probably not. Cant even get a sx core or sx lite as of now

Good riddance to TX. If this is all true, people who can will probably want to migrate to Atmosphere sooner rather than later.

question, why does everyone feel so negatively towards them? Because they are mainly for pirating? or because they charge for hacking?

because I've never really minded paying if I got a more stable hack.

I have no problems with hacking or even piracy. I have problems with people violating open source terms and profiting off other people's work.

FYI, SX OS isn't a more stable hack. It uses Atmosphere's code.

They are not dead yet, seems like the website is back. We'll see if they'll update the SX OS for the next major fw version.

At the time of release, which is when I got it, it was much more refined than anything for a long time. Once atmosphere cleaned up, obviously it became obsolete, but I'm not going to do all the work to switch at this point unless I actually have to. So as long as I have the updates, I am okay with it. I think it would have been well worth the cost if we had consistent updates promised for the lifetime of the console.
