Just a quick question about XBOX 360 back ups. I'm completely new to Xbox 360's and am thinking about soft-modding it. I'm just wondering if there are USB loaders similar to that of the Wii, so I can play my back ups straight off of a hard drive? Or do I still need a copy of the disk in the drive at the same time? Or are there "no -cd" cracks? I have done some searches but I seem to be getting conflicting results, especially as I'm a complete Xbox noob...

by the way I think I have a first gen Xbox 360 as it has no HDMI... it was RROD'd I bought it for $50 with a couple of games and a controller and repaired it myself.

Thanks for any info

if you jtag it then you can play on the hard drive without the original dvd in the drive (i believe)
otherwise youll have to mod the drive firmware then install to hard drive but you will need a copy of the game in the system
also, you can install games to usb drives up to 16gb now
