There have been too many high quality releases to put off this post until the weekend- assuming something happens before the end of the week there will be another one.

To use the vast majority of these XBLA and DLC releases you will need a JTAG / SMC hacked 360- these posts will certainly be oriented at those that have one.

XBLA releases are standalone but occasionally they have their only title updates ( http://www.xbuc.org/ although it is down at this point) and DLC (indeed the so called game room is an XBLA game based around DLC packs). DLC releases will be patched by the same title updates as the main game and often you will need a minimum title update to use them.
If you move around long enough in these circles http://360.kingla.com/ is a good site to have bookmarked.

We ignore stackable releases (releases, usually from a different region, that are the same as others but appear as distinct titles to the 360) unless they offer something new and while we do report on it music game DLC is sidelined in favour of other releases, NFOs for those releases can be found on http://www.ludibria.com/index.php?sys=x36&...=2010&ord=1

No nuke/redump news as far as I can see.

Alien_Breed_2_Assault_XBLA_XBOX360-XBLAplus
XBLAplus bring us Team17's (they of Worms fame) second episode (the first was released back in January as Alien.Breed.Episode.1.XBLA.XBOX360-FYK) for their Alien Breed Evolution top down/isometric shooter. Co-op features once again and is well worth a look if you like this sort of thing.

DeathSpank-Thongs_of_Virtue_XBLA_XBOX360-XBLAplus
The sequel to July's much liked comedic/satirical Deathspank- the term Monkey Island meets Diablo seems to be the chosen description of the original. It seems the reason for the quick turnaround was the series was set to be episodic but that got canned and this got made into a full game.
On the other hand while it might share the same engine this apparently changes the setting to one of a modern/sci fi one.

Serious_Sam_HD-The_Second_Encounter_XBLA_XBOX360-XBLAplus

For those new to the series Serious Sam is something of a throwback to days of old when simple kill everything that moves FPS titles ruled the roost. This is a remake (using a new engine) of 2002's Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, it is certainly mindless but that has rarely stopped things from being fun.

Mass Effect 2

Mass.Effect.2.Equalizer.Pack.DLC.XBOX360-dumpTruck
This is an armour pack, borrowing the xbox.com blurb
Cerberus doesn’t just need a hero – they need a one-man army. That’s why The Equalizer Pack adds the Capacitor Helmet, Archon Visor, and Inferno Armor to Shepard’s armor locker. The Capacitor Helmet stores power for kinetic barriers, allowing Shepard’s shields to recharge faster. The Archon Visor manages omni-tools and biotic amps, reducing the recharge time of Shepard’s powers. The powered Inferno Armor speeds up Shepard’s movements and increases his tech and biotic power damage. Stress analysis software even gives him an edge in negotiations outside of combat.

Mass.Effect.2.Lair.of.the.Shadow.Broker.DLC.XBOX360-dumpTruck
An extra story arc for mass effect 2 and one that brings a character from the original game back into the fold as well not to mention it is getting rave reviews at this point in time.
Xbox.com blurb
Liara T’Soni is tracking down the mysterious Shadow Broker, and no one is safe. She’ll do anything to recover the man the Broker kidnapped… and the Shadow Broker’s agents will do anything to stop her. Team up with Liara and chase clues from the luxurious heights of Illium to the Shadow Broker’s own secret lair. Adds the Shadow Broker intel center, new research, and five new achievements – and the chance to continue a relationship with Liara.
