Heh, that sucks dude.
Maybe you could try what I did, and get an apprenticeship somewhere? They might be called something different on your side of the pond, but basically I get paid (not alot!) to go to work 5 days a week, but whilst I'm at work im also training towards a Business Administration qualification.
There are LOTS of programmes like this about in England at the minute, because companies get to pay very little to (mainly young) people, because they're still 'learning', when at the end of the day, they're being trained in that company from a point any normal employee would be anyway.
But yeah, im happy because I dont need the money for anything really at the minute, I pay my parents 1/4 of what I earn for 'board', then i spend some on driving, and the rest I do whatever with, and at the end of it, i'll have some qualifications which should, hopefully, help me out when the recession is over.
