    HI thanks for reading.

I have a 4gb sdhc card which works for some homebrew and not others. I've been looking for a plain 2 gb SD card to use for homebrew. I've found a good 4gb sd card (non sdhc) Will a 4gb sd card work well for homebrew or does it need to be 2gb. From the stuff I've read the main problems seem to come from sdhc.

    Thanks for any replys.

SDHC is 4gb AND UP. They go up to what, 32GB now?... SD caps off at (just under) 4GB. close enough that they can sell it as a 4GB.

Standard SD: 1 MB to 4 GB
SDHC: 4 GB to 32 GB
SDXC: 32 GB to 2 TiB

The official SD standards say cards can only go up to 2GB, anything more is non-standard (hence the bootmii incompatibilities). The SDHC standard says cards can range from 4GB to 32GB. Anything above that is SDXC.
Edit: Note the lack of the proper SD logo on the picture of fubka's card.

Where did you get the nonSDHC 4GB... I have looking for those. Do they have nonSDHC 4GB microSDs too?

this is true, 4gb SD cards conform to neither SD or SD2 (SDHC) formats.
