To be honest I've already got 3 handhelds, I don't think I need another

If that wasn't an issue, well we know virtually nothing about the 3DS yet so it' impossible to make a call now, I'd wait for more information. I'd never buy a launch console, rather leave them some time to weed out the manufacturing defects first.

I'll actually probably by this one, skip the first revision of it, then buy the 3rd version since it would probably include quite a few new features even if it's just like a size upgrade. I disliked carrying my Original DS after having the Lite for a day.

As soon as i can reserve one at work i will be. From that point i will see 10 to 15 bucks less of my paycheck every 2 weeks till i pay it off. Wont seem like as much of a strain to pay for that way.

I won't be buying this at all most likely. I've never been a big fan of the 3D gimmicks, whether it's for a movie, or a game system.

My opinion is open to change, but most likely Nintendo will fail to impress me with this. It will have to be truly spectacular, with a decent price, for me to even consider it.

It is just another "hardware add on" to further prove that Nintendo has put this whole DS crap on life-support!
Just release another damn hand held gaming system all together!
Nintendo needs to stop "recycling" their hardware...NINTENDO WII...and start making better systems.

Microsoft is kicking Nintendo's butt when it comes to graphics and hardcore gameplay.
If it wasn't for BLINX the Time Sweeper becoming such a failure, Nintendo would have died with the Dolphin!

If they think they can get a cheep sale by having the 5th gen Pokemon Games on the 3DS then I won't even bother!
What good would "looking into a cardboard box filled with cardboard cutouts" going to do in a Pokemon RPG game!?

Nintendo is not for the hardcore gamers anymore, sure there are THE RARE FEW of hardcore games here and there but now Nintendo is nothing but a gimmicky, casual-gamers' paradise!

Even Pokemon has become stale and repetitive...which is sad.

the 3ds IS NOT just an upgrade to the dsi its completely different using different carts or what ever there gonna decide to use and is gonna be frickin 3d. Its a whole new console altogether, most likely the only similarity will be the fact that they are dual screen other than that no differences.

I am still waiting for Sony's (or even Microsoft's) announcement about their handhelds. I always wait for reviews and my decision would heavily rely on how well it would serve me.
So, yes I will eventually end buying it but if my other options appeal to me even more, I guess I would go with that before the 3DS.

Mario games don't need a storyline unless it's an RPG. They depend on the gameplay. That's what made Super Mario Galaxy great. The storyline in SMG was shit but who cares! I for one don't pay attention to the storyline unless it's an RPG.

I am thinking the next item is either as big, or it has ZERO to offer me. I got the XL because I wanted bigger.

I am also thinking I only need to buy a new item so often.
