Gaming worth upgrading to windows 7?

i just upgraded from Windows 7 RC to RTM, and I have to say it's perfect. The speed of Windows XP + Visual pleasure of Vista + the new SuperBar = Windows 7, which, might I add, wins in almost all aspects of an OS.

well after waiting forever finallly got the disc.... it was a pain to install as it wouldn't support the upgrade option even though that was claimed to be the best way to do it... finally just did a new install of windows but forgot to do my transfer wizard lol.... anyways they hold your entire old windows install so nothing is really lost but it does use up a lot of room... just grab what you need and delete the rest..... seems to be a fairly nice os so far and does seem quite a bit faster even after piling everything back onto it..... a little bit of getting used to but not so different as to be like apples to oranges... overall it feels like a worthwhile upgrade to me

It didn't let me access it or delete it :/
I had to burn to disc and full format.

It depends on the specs for x86 and x64
But Ultimate if you mean it like that

everything home premium and better...well you won't really need professional or ultimate...or do you need stuff like BitLocker..?

nah not really. ive never used windows 7 and hated vista so im going for 7. i dont like alot of stuff on my computer, i i replace just about every program that comes with the actual OS so i want the lightest possible version i guess...

well I would still choose home premium since starter is crippled in some aspects, but everything above is not needed

home premium is what i'm running and it seems to be doing alright so far.... yes i did have access to windows.old and could do whatever i wanted with it

that about sums it up lol short and sweet and to the point.... all in all I'd say that's what I'd say as well.....
