Hacking Wood R4 Update

It would be too late now anyway. Everyone who uses Wood R4 has already renamed their saves to XXXX.nds.sav. The update you're crying out for would cause these users the inconvenience of having to re-rename all the save files.

All I'm saying is, make it like YSMenu. You can choose what sort of save file you want to use. Default is .nds.sav but it can be changed to .sav

Because this is the only firmware I've seen that uses .nds.sav, other just use .sav

Keep in mind this is only a suggestion. It's not a demand or a put-down. I think is Wood is awesome

Also, the title made me think there was a new update. Not a rant on the whole .sav/.nds.sav crap. Personally, I can put up with it. It WOULD be nice if there was a way to change it back. Making a .bat with
CODE

rename *.nds.sav *.sav

doesn't work.

Well there was a HUGE fuss about Wood being so awesome... 1.but if we can't at least use .sav then I seriously doubt it's that awesome.

Seriously, it must take a couple seconds to just replace .nds.sav in the code to .sav
Remember, it's just renaming the file, so it will obviously work.

Seriously, I don't know how many people have suggested to use .sav instead of .nds.sav
.nds.sav? What were they thinking?

Anyway, are they actually working on this? As I see it, it's just a matter of renaming so it should take 2 seconds to update it. (Plus other little tweaks)
Because I thought it was meant to be updated 'regularly'... plus updates aren't always AP updates, but can be tweaks like this one.

If you don't like the .nds.sav just download this and And run the woodr4sdhc.nds from it as a homebrew
source
