This is looking bad. Ah, well. R4 SDHC has been doomed for a while now. It seems like it's time to buy a different card.

Good luck if this is still worked on, though. I'm sure there's a lot of people who really look forward to this being released. You're doing a great thing.

The merry-go-round is a funny ole ride !! For about the last 18 mths the original R4DS has been slowly sinking 6ft under, gasping for air...but, appeared to had lost its breath and permanent death was iminent. In the meantime, clone users were rejoicing, defending the R4 name and claiming semi-regular updates.
Wood appears, the original R4 is revived to 'like new" status and clone users feel they have been screwed (and apparently their carts are now rendered useless, without Wood).
Moral to this story: As long as the wheel is round, things will always turn

Hey,

I'm using a card that says R4SDHC on it, but won't run the 1.34 kernel. If i interpret this site correctly, I have an old version or something. I use a 4GB microSD card with it.

In any case, neither of the versions in the OP start up for me, neither as a .nds nor as a renamed _DS_MENU.DAT

Does anyone know if there are multiple versions of the R4SDHC or if I got a mockup of a clone or what?

edit:
Since it does the red face "Menu?" error message, I guess it's a DSTT clone. Ohwell.

Do it yourself.
i didnt say i could do it...i just said if it is that hard to fix..

and i bet u cant do it yourself either!!

I'd say it was your attitude that he was pulling you up on. You could have put that a hell of alot more politely and respectfully. Manners cost nothing, an attitude costs you a lack of respect.

Saying "Is it that difficult to fix?" can be a quite neutral statement, as in a query.

"Is it difficult to fix the present problem?"

However, wording it "Is this still being fixed? Is it that hard? What the hell..." alters this message to be generally perceived as belittling the attemptees as being incompetent for not fixing something that is not obviously difficult to fix.

In other words, even if you hadn't intended it you came off as a jerk by suggesting those who're trying to fix it are incompetent/unable to fix a small problem. I suggest wording yourself better in the nearby future to avoid conflicts regarding intended and derived meanings.

To not further derail this thread, is there any possibility for this firmware to work on r4igold.cn cards in the future? I am sorry if this was asked before, I admit my quick perusal of the thread might have skipped over an earlier answer.

I'm also a bit slow on realising which cards are the same and which are different but named the same way.

Sorry I ain't a specialist of ARM assembly. Ask Rockstar.

Always I'm fail. In both M3 and R4. And possibly in AK.

At least you gave it a go mate, that's the main thing. Top respect for that, I wouldn't even know where to begin.
