Please don't double post, Sonic.

I'm pretty sure UPS does not work on holidays.

For some reason, the UPS in California is gonna take 8 days to deliver my package to Vegas, which is only about 4 hours away. -___-

hey i was wondering if swapmagic can read dvd+rw or dvd-rw
and could a NTSC ps2 read a PAL game correctly on a swapmagic

rw , depends on ps2. Some can read , some can't. Not really too good for the laser though. Pal game on ntsc ps2 , no problem with the ps2. Whether the tv can accept a pal signal or not is a whole different matter.

so if my tv cant accept the pal signal how will the game work on my tv will it have blurry lines or something

It will more than likely be black&white and scrolling. Swap magic has a option to force the video signal to ntsc , how ever doing so normally results in missing a bit of the picture.

so i heard of this pal to ntsc converter and i was wondering does it work and all

EDIT:the name of the program was PS2 PAL TO NTSC PATCHER WITH Y-FIX

i have a question on the new memory card mod chip thing thats out. can you set it up to load a file on your memory card like cogswap so you dont need to patch all your burned games, as i have like 300ish, if you cant, im not sure its worth it. I currently use swap magic coder.

Will patch to ntsc and centre the screen , but you'll still lose some of the picture , just like all the other pal->ntsc patchers for ps2.

Just the edge of it. Be easier just to use ntsc games or pal games with a ntsc option.

so is this question ever going to be answered whats the difference between swapmagic 3.6 and 3.6 plus
and does the original swap magic 3.6 have that video mode change thingy

i was searching around the net for swapmagic v3.6 and everywhere i go i see swapmagic v3.6 plus so i was wondering is there even a swapmagic v3.6 or is there just plus because heres where i bought my swapmagic http://www.keepgaming.com/ps2/NXP2R-008.htm and it just says SM v3.6 not plus

For anyone who is searching or still wondering about this. I've been using my PS2 fliptop/swap magic for the past two years easy with no issues. The discs work fine and if you're gentle, they will last forever. When I was wondering which way to do all this, I went with the flip top. The slide tool was cheaper, but I had read about issues with it breaking the PS2 and messing stuff up. So I got the fliptop, installed it and have been in love ever since. All games I've tried have worked. I only use NTSC, so no idea on PAL games. The install was easy, both of my friends messed theres up somehow, mine looks like it came from sony.

If anyone has questions, PM me about it or post here.

heres one question of mines that never got answered whats the difference between swapmagic 3.6 and 3.6 plus
If I remember correctly, the Plus version is also called Coder, and allows things like loading homebrews directly from Memory Card and USB drives. Really cool if you don't want to waste every time a DVD for a 250kb homebrew

Oh really? Hell, screw PAL then.

The only other thing (not really a problem) I'm having trouble with is finding the PS2 games. Still having trouble with that. I've been looking for quite a while, and the torrent site I usually go to has like... no seeders at ALL.

can't help you with that but try the 'afterdawn forums' (Google it) they have answers to alot of the questions you're asking there.
