I just ordered mine today and it is being shipped by UPS. I made it just in time. Two hours later it was listed as being out of stock. I tried to solder but two of the smallest pads lifted so I am left with the Wlip. Looks to be a god-send! It cost me $48.54 USD with shipping.
Everyone seems to be talking about the cheep aftermarket version of the Wlip but I don't think that is for me. A friend got a clone chip and it didn't work and he could not get his money back so he had to purchase another new one so he had to pay allot more than just getting one real chip. Also I have purchased Madcatz aftermarket stuff in the past just to have it die some time soon after I get it. Some times you get what you pay for. I am only getting brand names from now on. This place put allot of time in to the R&D of there product so I am thinking it should fit very good and have no problems. Looks to be a safe bet. I'll let everyone know after it is installed how everything went.

As of 12:00 PM CST, the Wlip is in stock at DiscoAzul for 21.51 EUR (the price drops from 24.95 EUR when you sign in). I just ordered mine, which after shipping and fees came to 32.36 EUR or 48.54 USD.

I just got an email from UPS stating that my shipment should be at my house by the 29th. Not bad. 7 days to get from Spain to my door in the US. The price was good too. Can't wait till I get the goods!

Yeah I've ordered it now too, took the plunge.
I'm in the UK so it said 24 hour shipping.
I'm looking forward to it.
Triangle paragraph.
End.

I got mine ordered yesterday, like I said with UPS Express 24H shipping for 10 EUR. However, that is apparently not 24 hour shipping. Piss - and for $17 bucks, why would I expect that?! . Well, it'll be here on the 30th, which I suppose is fine - but seriously, $17 for shipping... boo.

I keep tracking my package (even though I know it's arriving on Monday) - I just noticed this one:

A HOLD HAS BEEN REQUESTED. PAYMENT MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO RELEASE / THE RECEIVER HAS AGREED TO ACCEPT THE DELIVERY CHARGES

And then I thought... I'll probably have to pay duty/taxes on top of what I already paid for the Wlip. This thing better be worth the amount of money it's costing...

I found this in my tracking:
QUOTE said:
THE PACKAGE WAS SUBJECT TO AN X-RAY INSPECTION PRIOR TO DELIVERY; A DELAY MAY RESULT / DELIVERY RESCHEDULED
Though I think it's still on time. I hope I don't have to pay duty taxes on this, though. Mine left Denmark this morning.

I don't want to get all that trouble, so I guess I will wait for the North American resellers. I wrote to the Wlip team and they will have some "in a few weeks".

Yea. I would figure for that as well. UPS has been pretty reliable and if I can afford it I will even order from overseas companies that use UPS or another trackable method. I have done airmail before but those always made me nervous but I usually got it anyways.

hey, when you get yours can you post what modchip you are using with it and CONFIRM whether or not you actually DONT have to solder anything?
i saw that the wiikey and cyclowiz don't require soldering of any sort, but i dont see how you attach it to the wlip w/o it.
thanks

Wiikey (and I think cyclowiz too, thats not an 8-legged PIC is it? my memory has deserted me tonight:P) require soldering to the Wlip, but not onto the Wii DVD Drive. So if you screw up, you can simply start again by desoldering everything and trimming the wires.
